MGS4 360 rumor rears its eyepatch once more

Coming as proof that you just can't keep a good rumor down (just ask the 360 Blu-Ray rumor) IGN is reporting that the longstanding Xbox 360 Metal Gear Solid 4 rumor has surfaced once again. The news comes by way of a report from Morningstar, a Japanese investment research firm, which focused on multiplatform trends. In the report a Konami public relations representative, in regard to Metal Gear Solid 4, was quoted as saying, "We're actively looking into a release for the Xbox 360."

As IGN notes, a single quote hardly adds up to any assurance that MGS4 will see the light of day on 360. This is especially so given that series creator Hideo Kojima has denied the rumor to the point of saying that he's tired of being asked about it in every interview. If somone doesn't make good on this rumor soon, we'll have to start one about MGS4 hitting the next Xbox.

itd be nice to see mgs4 or other sequels on the 360 but im not holding my breath. im not a huge fan of the franchise and i havent finished one since MGS but im not biased against it.

id rent mgs4 but its not worth a buy in my book, on either console..

as far as mgs4 not possible on the 360, that's rubbish. the only thing stopping it are the large cutscenes which take up optical disc space. of course the ps3 has the clear advantage there. as far as actual gameplay, it is completely possible on the 360. will we see a port of mgs4 to the 360? i'm going to say no. but, if this whole gen goes by without one mgs iteration on the 360, i'd be surprised.

Sorry metal gear isnt about shooting aliens and going to random planets and going to random places. If you didnt play the others it would be tough to figure out the story. Their isnt one xbox game that is or going to be remade into a movie. The only thing is Halo but so many directors didnt like the script because for obvious reason. I am not saying it isnt a good game, the gameplay is fun of course but its all about shooting aliens( down side of Uncharted). Saying metal gear is a over rated game is very childish. Their is no other game like MGS 4.

Its going to be compress graphics and probably RROD your 360.

Serousily how are they going to fit that game in the 360? DLC? heh who wanna waste 120GB hd on that.

What a surprise, xbox360 fanboy reporting on a PS3 exclusive. Stop it because all your going to get is fanboys saying the game sucks because it's not on their system. Stick to reporting on 360 exclusives and multiplatforms instead of MGS 4 and LittleBigPlanet all the time.

I could by a PS3 tommorrow, with MGS4.. but I don't care for it, PS3 is the only console I don't own because it hasn't got anything that I can't get on 360.. I got a few games for DS, a handfull each for Wii, PSP, Xbox 1 & Game Cube..
PS3 fanboys always have the same arguement.. you believe what your told.. like the last 3 years, it would be the 'year of the PS3'.. still waiting eh.. spouting off what's to come.. Jack Tretton, who just reminds me of Gil on Simpsons, says LBP is only possible on PS3.. why is it?
MGS4's cutscenes are ingame, you can move the camera & look around.. they don't get compressed like FMV.. I personally think MS should of backed HD-DVD, as it was more dynamic than blu ray, & even had better picture quality..
At least our installs will be optional.. PS3 needed to install GTAIV, and run it at 640p, unlike 360, off the disc at 720p..
yea, 360 has its faults.. but least it's moving forward.. I've never had RROD.. where MS are (slowly) improving the console itself, Sony are stripping things out, like the USB ports & the PS2 parts for backwards compatibility, so you would need to buy a PS2 every 14 months to play your old games (since the profits they make on PS2 negates the losses they make on the PS3)
oh the PS3 has a nicer dashboard.. well 360 is too busy playing games to see it's dashboard.. some of us are moaning about the Avatars, yeah I'll make one, but will it get used? unlikely..
