The ESRB's listings for Pikmin and Pikmin 2 have been updated: they haven't been re-rated AO due to recently-uncovered adult content or anything like that, but they're now listed for both GameCube and Wii! This makes it very likely that Nintendo of America is at least planning to release the ported 'Play on Wii' versions of those two games.
None of the other Play on Wii games, including Donkey Kong Jungle Beat, Chibi-Robo, Mario Power Tennis, and Metroid Prime 1 and 2, are currently listed on the ESRB as Wii games. Chances are that the Pikmins are the ones most Nintendo fans were most interested in anyway.

Maybe, but I'm still more excited about Metroid Prime remakes than any of the other announced Play on Wii games.

the plural form of pikmin is the same as the singular form. thus it's not 'pikmins'

Metroid will definitely make it, bigger here than in Japan
Pikmin will just come first, which is fine with me since i never actually got around to playing it last time around. My 12 year old self was too intimidated by a timer.

Metroid 1 and 2 please. dont care much 'bout the 'pikmins' and in case I feel like playing I would rather go for pikmin 3.

I am a diehard pikmin fanboy, i have poured over 1000 days (Pikmin time) into both 1 and 2 so chances are i'll skip buying them twice. However i missed chibi-robo so i will buy that.

Haha. Me too. And Pikmin days equal what? like 13 minutes each? That's a ton of minutes!
Anyway, I'd buy both 'Pikmins' but only one Metroid (...the first one).

Prime 1 with Wii Controls far surpasses Pikmin with Wii Controls. Hell, Prime 1 Wii, if done like Prime 3, will be considered the best game of all time in my books.
Prime 2 on the other hand can go to hell, regardless of what system it's on.

Okay, Pikmin. Sure.
Metroid please. That's the big-un. Prime 3 had the fantastic controls, but other than that, it was by far, the lest good of the three (saying "worst" implies it was bad). You tack those onto Prime 1 and we're cooking with effin gas.

I'd think that Prime would benefit a lot more than Pikmin from Wii controls. I'd choose Prime sooner than I'd choose Pikmin.

What are the chances Wind Waker will be remade with 'Play on Wii' controls?

@ Dustin
that would depend on when Ninty decides to release "play on Wii" in NA. my guess is that if it's released AFTER the motionplus is released (and if the motionplus gets into the hands of Wii owners which i'm VERY sure it will) then Wind Waker will have 1:1 motion battles (which if it DOES indeed release after the Motionplus then i'm VERY sure ninty will add support to Wind Waker). but then again its like i said. it depends on when "Play on Wii" will be released in NA.

Honestly, the only game from the current selection is DK Jungle Beat. I have all the other ones, except for Pikmin 1, but I really don't want it.

I've got the original 'cube Pikmins but, I got them for pretty cheap; so I wouldn't mind getting them again with Wii controls. It'll benefit from the new controls if they don't mess with it much.
