Ladies and gentlemen of the Western Hemisphere, start your PlayStation 3s. Sony has released released firmware 2.50, which as we told you yesterday. The update includes support for the official PS3 bluetooth adapter, automatic shutdown after downloading, Flash 9 support and more. No word on PSP firmware 5.0, also expected today, but we've fired up our handhelds just in case. SCEE confirmed that both firmware updates will be available in Europe today.
Update: (1:32 AM ET) Two hours after the launch of the PS3 update, PSP firmware 5.0 is now also available.

I recently got a blutooth headset for my PS3, but the voice chat is AWFUL in Armored Core for Answer. Completely untolerable.
It's frustrating. I don't know if it's my headset (which works fine on my cellphone), the PS3, or the game. Not to mention 90% of PS3 gamers don't even use a headset, probably because one was not included with the PS3. Lame.

I have tried traditional wired cell headsets on XBL and they sound horrible. Nothing sounds better than a headset designed for XBL. I wouldn't be surprised if Sony has a similar problem. As it stands, I have had sub-par experiences with voice on PSN, but then I haven't tried that many times either.

Is there a place I can download this 5.0 firmware from my browser? My PSP's wifi capabilities aren't functioning right now.
