The more I hear about the project, the less I like the whole endeavor. It sounds like the port team might not get the appeal of Cave Story. And there I was hoping MegaMan 9 will convince them not to mess with the classic CS sound and graphics... ohh well... Also, PSN but no Live Arcade? Why not?

I'm kind of inclined to agree with you. It just seems like the game's stylistic choices were originally made for a reason, and to go back and change them changes the spirit of the game. I mean, for how amazing the original was, I think Pixel could have made slightly better sprites if he had wanted to. There's a reason for these decisions...

Also, based on what I'm hearing the changes entail, it really doesn't seem like it's worth money. I mean, if all that is different is updated sprites and music, I could live without them.

"I think Pixel could have made slightly better sprites if he had wanted to."

He's the one making these slightly better sprites you see in the footage. And you can play the game just as it was before, without the enhancements, or you can mix and match, it's an option they have stated that will be there.

Buy it to support Pixel for giving us a truly awesome experience and asking nothing in return, I don't know about you but I really want to reward him for something like that.

Five or ten dollars for a game that is better than alot of games at over triple that price isn't asking much.
