He signed a licensing deal with them a while back. He has a clothing line there so this only makes sense.

It's a genius idea for advertising in all honesty.

@Meta,

I can't remember specific examples, but I seem to recall both Eidos and UBisoft did quite a bit of that in the previous generation. I seem to recall some flavor of Splinter Cell that had a Prince of Persia poster in it...

I hate when developers/companies do this. Just make a single game edition that gives anyone who buys it the same content (including DLC.)

Can anyone give me some insight into the controls for the Wii version. And i mean, the non-balance-board controls. If its anything like Tony Hawk Downhill Jame (the most underrated Wii game) then SIGN ME UP!

Excite Truck, on the other hand...

So who's the actual company that made this game? Or distributor? Target?

Developer: Ubi Montreal
Publisher: Ubi

I don't know what Target has to do with it besides advertising.

16:9 is standard for most games that don't use a lot of hand-drawn graphics (like Wario Land and Wario Ware: Smooth Moves)

Not mandatory, like 480p support is (except for Neo Geo VC games), but you find it more often than not

What sucks most about this is that there are no Targets in Montreal where I live.

Canada has Target? I have never seen a single Target anywhere I've been in Canada. But when I went to Florida I found plenty :D

I could care less about extra content. If a retailer wants to sell an altered copy of a game with their ads in it that's fine, but sell it to me at the 38-42 dollar price they pay to stock it.

Why should they take a loss when you get 20% more game?

I don't think they should be charging a $5 premium since they slapped all the ads in there... but 20% more game for the same price... why would that chaff you?

Even if there is extra content it wouldn't be something I could enjoy online with anyone else unless they had the same edition so why does it matter? I would rather the same game, no extra content, they can slap there crummy ads in there and sell it at a discount.

Not that I want this game but....
thats just a low blow to the nuts for any Canadians who are buying this game. Unless they want to find a target version online or take a nice trip down to the U.S. to pick up this crap game

But you just answered your own question. Obviously anyone that buys this game deserves what they get.

On the subject of downhill racing, has anyone hinted to a Tony Hawks Downhill Jam 2? I got it at launch nearly 2 years ago and i still play it at least weekly, just to try and finish it with everyone. It the most underrated Wii game IMO with the perfect controls (once you get used to them!) and an online sequel would be fantastic.

Does this mean the extra content will always be US only?

Or maybe they can do a deal to release it with Asda Smart Price mountain.

"Target expects plenty of Wiis in stock this season" Really? I don't know why, but I've been seeing Wiis for sale at Shopper's Drugmarts a lot lately. I wonder if they're still that hard to get?

If there are normally 4 mountains, and the Target Edition gets you a 5th, its actually 25% more content.
Sorry, just wanted to be really annoying.

Regardless, this is sort of shitty.
