Damn right these games are coming. Pretty excited for this since it's my entry into the Phantasy Star franchise.

Ahh, that's too bad this is your first Phantasy Star... you missed out on PSO!

Fortunately for you though, that means you also missed out on PSU! Heheh.

Phantasy Star 4 is the best in the series IMO.

I KNEW IT WOULD! WOOHOO! Thank god. I was getting sick of staggering through the text in my JP demo. I can read it, but it takes alot of time...

Kotaku didnt break any embargo. In fact 1up had the story plastered on their front page all day. It even has a big exclusive interview about the game on their page.

I think this is great news because the PSP needs more great games in other parts of the world other then Japan. I can't tell you how many times I wnted games to come out of Japan that never did.

I do have one thing I am wondering about will this game use the PS3 to play online like Monster Hunter soon will when it comes out of Japan.

I'm also new to the Phantasy Star universe. Can a game like this be enjoyed as single player? I'm not a fan of multiplayer.

I was wondering the same. This will be my first foray into the PS universe as well, but I don't have any friends with PSP's so this would be a solo affair for me as well....

It absolutely can be fun in single player, that is if you like hack & slash games. It should be even better in single player than original pso on the dreamcast, since psp will have a storyline that pso lacked.

I'm definitely going to grab it, but it'll probably be only a distraction while waiting for 3rd birthday, kh:bbs and ff agito 13, an awesome distraction judging from the demo ;].

Cool. I didnt even try and play the JP demo of the game since i couldn't figure out what was going on and what to do. I may have to go dig up my dreamcast and replay the first one again.

In the article on 1UP Sega has given them a date of March 2009. This is actually pretty soon, so I am even more excited that we won't have to wait till this time next year

You can usually rely on Sega to localize their games to the US market. If only they had the Bleach license on the PSP too as they do on the DS, damn it, and they'd bring it over for sure...

Kids who are too young to have played the DC Phantasy Star Online (to say nothing of the Genesis versions) freak me out.
