We have a feeling we're not going to find out whether Dragon Age Origins will be gracing the PS3 until someone gets their hands on the latest issue of Game Informer, the cover of which states that they have the skinny on the "console editions." Hard to imagine the upcoming Bioware RPG being possible on anything other than the PS3 or 360 and it does say consoles, plural. Who knows, though. Maybe we'll see scaled down Wii and DS versions.
So if you're fans of Baldur's Gate (and we don't mean those action RPGs from the PS2 era) you may have something to look forward to coming to a PS3 near you. Possibly. Make sure you pick up the next issue of Game Informer to find out all the details.

it looks to be like bioware's other RPG series, Baldur's Gate. and those games are not really KOTOR material.

I enjoyed the Xbox because of their exclusive games like KOTOR and PGR, but after Microsoft and their successful attempts at $tealing exclusives and making them multi-plat, I began disliking the company. I welcome that Bioware is making this game for the PS3. I

so by that logic you should be angered that this game is multi-plat? that it would make you happy that gamers couldn't have more available games on their console of choice?

Oh no you got me wrong. I said I started disliking Microsoft because of their tactics. I'm fine with companies going multi-plat if they want to. IF they want to. Not if it involves some kinda bribe money.

hmm...i don't really see it as them paying off companies left and right tho. i think it's the companie's decision to gain more profit.
i do remember MS paying a grip of money to get GTA4 content, but everything else has been rumors. the days of console 3rd party exclusivity are coming to an end it would seem. multi-plat is just more profitable for them.

^ yea time of exclusitivity 'is' coming to an end. Multi-plat's the new age. I have both systems and enjoy the ability to try out Fable/Gears/XBLA stuff or PSN/LBP/KZ2 if I wanted to. The only thing that isn't great for consumers is that there's only a handful of good exclusives. With 3rd party going multi-plat so much nowadays, it leads me to wonder which console consumers would get a better investment out of.
Oh and the GTA DLC, yea I didn't like that one bit. It was also confirmed (i forget which game, probably TRU) that MS spent money for yet another exclusive DLC and also Timed-exclusives.

yeah, timed exclusives is different than paying for another consoles exclusives. it still is a pretty dick move tho.
i think for certainly consumers would get more value from a PS3 in the long run, but when it comes down to the games, a 360 Arcade is a pretty tempting offer being the cheapest way to game.

if you've seen the trailers, it bears a striking resemblance to the Lord of the Rings movies. which borders between 'awesome' and 'unimpressive' IMO. :/

"but after Microsoft and their successful attempts at $tealing exclusives and making them multi-plat"
1. Getting mad at somebody for successfullying swaying developers into going multi-plat, is idiotic.
2. If I was to ask you what games your refering to, being on the 360 only because MS gave the developers money. 99% of your list would be based upon internet speculation you have taken as fact.
Please enlighten me on what exclusive games MS has bought into being multi-plat. Because they really haven't. They have paid to have a (notice singular) multi-plat become a limited exclusive. AKA Bioshock. They have paid to have exclusive downloadable content. They have bought publishing rights for a few games, they thought had potential.
But they haven't paid for another platforms exclusive to go multi-plat. All exclusives that have gone multi-plat have done so because it was financially smart for them. Seriously though, your improper use of the word "bribe" speaks volumes about the value of your input.
