Here we go, for the umpteenth time: A quote published by Japanese investment research firm Morningstar that Konami was "actively looking" to bring MGS4 to Xbox 360 has now disappeared from the record. This comes to light on the same day that Microsoft's Software and Services VP John Schappert said that the Xbox 360 could run the game.
GameCyte details that the Kabushiki business journal, which is owned by Morningstar, now quotes a different Konami rep. and completely ignores the topic. The company is calling the new article a "second appearance" rather than a correction.

People care because they don't want to be spending money on a console for one game. games like MGS(third party games) should be available to everyone.

I agree as well taht games like Mass Effect and Tales of Vesperia should be open to ps3 gamers as well. With the problems the economy is having, most people are probably only going to afford one HD console. It should be Sony's, or Microsoft's job to reel customers in with exclusive first party titles. Not companies like Konami.

MGS 4 was good, but you'll still be able to make babies after finishing it.

Mmm, delicious XBox fanboy tears.
I hope anothr rumor comes out next month. I just can't get enough of these retards being proven wrong time after time.
Fact is: sure, MGS4 could certainly run on the 360. But it won't. Because Kojima won't allow it. Ha ha.

Yes because Kojima is so powerful that his opinions can override those of his employers. Bullshit. He has creative power which means he decides what goes into the game. But he has no power to decide what console it would go to, or whether Konami would port it. And if Kojima supposedly wouldn't allow it, why the hell would Konami continually mention that they are looking at porting this game to other consoles?

Can we just kill this rumor please? They would have to be incredibly clever to program this game to 360, and even then it would be several disks. I just think the studio has better things to do with their time like develop.

I heard it will be announced simultaneously with the BluBox. And anyone who buys it will get a free BluRay upgrade for their 360. Plus a pony.

The visual image I got was someone saying "We're actively looking into MGS4 on the Xbo- HURK!" as he was grabbed from behind by Hideo Kojimo in opto-camo.

I will tell you what we do...We tease the xbots with just a little information or rumors that MGS4 will or could run on the 360...Then at the last second we pull the carpet right from under their feet. Then we laugh and laugh and go about our business and find another way to screw with them.

Huh, you know you can get 4, 8 and 16gb SD cards... Right? But besides that moronic point it might be easier fitting MGS4 on a Wii Optical Disc than getting it on the 360. Why? I'm glad you asked. The textures could be compressed, and then reduced by 4x because of the SD resolution. FMV (does MGS4 have FMV? I know Kojima posted that video saying it was and wasn't lots of things (like an FPS, which it later did have moments of....)) could also go through the same trick. Compress sound too, remove some of the heavy physics processing and lower the polygon count so it still looks detailed but at SD resolution.
Bam.
Now fuck off with your 2gb SD cards. This isn't Sony who release memory cards for a higher price and years later than their SD counterparts, btw.

What the hell, 360 fanboys aren't happy with their game library already? They just keep wanting all good PS3 exclusives to come to the 360 and then say everyone gets to share in the fun. Why, is it because the 360 userbase is quite larger than PS3s? But let them have their own exclusives too, not just 1st and 2nd party titles.

My friend, a 360 fanboy believes when mgs4 goes mutliplatform, it would be the final nail for the ps3. l do not believe this esp how this game was released exclusively months ago and the next big game commin out for the black coloured console is Little big planet l too believe that the the 360 should not be the only sys with 3rd party exclusives.
