First off, my comment has nothing to do with this post so if that offends you stop reading now.

On the bottom of the page there are links to 8 different Weblog's which is really handy to easily switch back and forth to see what's going on in other gaming cultures. The links are for PS3, WoW, Xbox 360, Wii, DS, PSP, PC, and GOLF?!?!? WTF?! Alan, can you please tell me how that got on there and how that is relevant to gaming when all the others are? Maybe switch out FanHouse with, ohh I don't know maybe Joystiq or Engadget?

Sorry for posting this under a Rock Band thread, there just isn't a thread for annoying quirks on PS3Fanboy.

A) I'm sure it's not up to them.

B) They're not necessarily meant to just be for video game weblogs. Yes, it happens to be that way for the most part, but that's not the intention. The intention is to give links to other weblogs in the Weblogs, Inc. Network. Go to http://www.weblogsinc.com/ for a full list of them. Sure, you'll find other game related blogs, but that's irrelevant. Note that, at the bottom of this page, it doesn't say "All video game Weblogs Inc. Network blogs," it says "Other...blogs you MIGHT be interested in" [emphasis mine].

C) Blog comments are not for things like this. In fact, if this really bothers you, then if I were you, I'd go here to comment about it: http://www.weblogsinc.com/contact/comments/

Actually, now that I notice it, you get the full Weblogs, Inc. Network list of blogs on the right side of this page I think. So don't even worry about the bottom of the page. Just use the right side of the page in the Gaming category. Problem fixed.

so we already know what songs are included in the game, but has there been any word as to what the free 20-song DLC pack consists of?

From what I recall, the 20 tracks will be from 20 different bands not already in the game. Which isn't really saying a lot...

I love Rock Band, but $70 for a new guitar is too much. The Guitar Hero:World Tour "Guitar Pack" is only $99 for the game and a guitar. I'm not saying one guitar is better than the other, so just hold your fire - but if the choice comes down to paying $70 for a RB2 guitar, or (essentially) $40 for a GH:WT guitar (assuming, like me, you will be buying both), the choice is pretty clear.

Well hopefully tomorrow harmonix will finally be able to announce the 20 free songs.

Also, from what I've read the ps 3 version has freeplay mode, voice chat, and the wiggly arrow gltich for vocals is gone. Trophies work like a charm too.

Harmonix made both versions equal this time around which is nice.

Yeah, same here. No offense, but when I read this, I'm like "Yay, Rock Band 2, what about it? Wait, this isn't news..."

Although, I am a bit surprised to see the way they're doing the free 20-song pack thing. It's not like I expected them to do it differently, I just didn't really think about how they would do it. I guess I thought they could have just made it a code compatible with the PlayStation Network. But oh well. I preordered it from GameStop so I could get the free t-shirt. I'll probably just wait to pick it up until LittleBigPlanet [10/21] arrives too though.

When a publisher announces the OFFICIAL release date of their products, it is considered news. The estimated release date was mid-October, and many retailers and gamers assumed it would be October 19th. However, this information did not become OFFICIAL until the press release was issued today.

I'm hoping the 20 free DLC wouldn't be for limited time only...
