I love the show and the book series to death (pun intended), but I can't imagine that anybody could craft a good game out of it.

I hear you even get to visit Dexter's lab in the PC version.

Oh, wait...

Hmm... A Dexter game could, potentially, be awesome. I'd be hugely fuck-off skeptical about a mobile phone game ported to the PC though, since they're both platforms which I absolutely despise. I guess I'll have to log this away in the back of my brain until they show some footage then... Hopefully they won't screw it up

Why do you "despise" the PC?

because he's either unhappy about spending money on the platform, or a consoletard. Judjing by the modern population of the internets I would lean toward the latter.

Yes, I am a 'tard' because I would rather spend less than half the money and buy a more stable platform that runs more (and better) games at a more stable framerate, and has decent controls. I'm SUCH an idiot...

It's incredibly sad that they gave the rights to what is arguably the best show on TV to Mark Ecko. Being a licensed game, it's already destined to be horrible, but you add Mark Ecko to the mix and I see failure of epic proportions for this. I'm talking E.T. for the 2600 bad.

Meh.

iPhone "game" ports are probably more suited to the Wii.

do you think in a wii version, after your victim is tied down securely, you get to plunge the wiimote *cough* knife into the victim's chest. Or perhaps make a swiping motion and slit his throat...

maybe not ...

There is no way this can be remotely good, and I'm a fan of the TV series.

Hey, if they can make a good game out of the "Riddick" franchise, they can make a good one out of this. Have faith.

@mark: You're right; there's absolutely no need to be all gloomy about game adaptations. I guess I'm just pessimistic now. That, and I don't see how a Dexter game could be good...unless it's an adventure-styled mystery type that's executed well! :O That would be awesome.
