Earlier in the week Japanese investment research firm, Morningstar, released a published report that quoted an unnamed Konami representative as saying the company was "actively looking" to bring Metal Gear Solid 4 to Xbox 360 -- suspiciously, the quote in question has now disappeared.
GameCyte details that the Kabushiki business journal, which is owned by Morningstar, has changed the original article with new quotes from another Konami representative discussing completely different titles. Speaking to J-Cast News, an unnamed Kabushiki representative said that the article is not a correction but a 'second appearance' and admits to no breach of journalistic ethics.

Personally, I think this has GOT to happen at some point. Yes, MGS4 did well on the PS3 (as expected), but they've gotta know it would move a lot of copies on Xbox 360 too.
I mean, unless their board executives are allergic to money, I think it's kind of a no brainer.

the quote disappeared, and i guarantee the man that made the quote disappeared as well. nobody's seen him, bills aren't being paid, and his wife is angry.

Awwww, you little PS3 trolls are ADORABLE!
Seriously, get a god damn life. If you're trolling an Xbox 360 blog just to make comments about how shitty the system is, your life is pure fail.
I look forward to your reply telling me to STFU, play b3yond or gtfo, or some such drivel.

No, Max, do YOUR research. Konami only asked to have the first DUAL LAYERED Blu-Ray disc on PS3 because they were struggling to get it onto 24GB. They probably finished with a game of about 27GB in total.
So, SUCK IT, Max. Next time do some research yourself before shouting at others using points you don't even have.

Yeah, some don't seem to realize that much space simply isn't necessary when you use good compression and optimizations. It would probably be a few discs yes, but not 8+ lmao, and certainly not impossible as some want you to think (Sony), that goes for LBP too :)

@Alex
no they did use the whole 50gb, they struggled fitting it onto the 50gb, that's what i have read in many interviews
if it was only 27gb then there would be not much of a problem
idiot...

Actually Jake, it has been confirmed to be ~30GB. That whole stuggling to put it on one BRay was just some propaganda by Hideo to avoid 360 questions. Plus, I wouldn't mind if they cut some of the Video/Dialog in this game as this series has had tendencies to babble on and on for too long.
As far as the 360 handling it, there is no game currently out that looks better on the PS3 than the 360.

To Max:
They said the same thing about RE4 on the PS2 and it looked surprisingly good. It's gonna happen, and it's just a matter of time.

And I've played and completed it, there's nothing it does that can't be done.
Really isn't all that amazing anyway, good story, that's it's best part. The only thing that "wow'ed" me was the Eggs at the start of the chapters, i thought they was real. XD

I read that developers have to put duplicate files on a Blu-ray disc because of the slow access speed of Blu-ray.
Is the game really 50gb or did they duplicate files a bunch of times to make the game run faster?

I haven't played MGS4 but from what I've seen of pretty much any current gen game out there I would think that the 360 could run it just as well as the PS3. I have both consoles so don't try and say I'm a fanboy. It sounds like it's all but confirmed. It seemes like the whole MGS4 for 360 isn't a matter of if but a matter of when. 3rd party exclusives will become a rare thing with 360 and PS3 with the production costs rising Konami will want to make as much money out of this game as possible, just like Namco with Tekken 6 and Square Enix with Final Fantasy XIII.

Does anyone else think the dude in the Ad off to the side on this page looks like Howie Mandel in a photoshopped beard?
Also I think MGS is yesterday's news. There are way too many great games coming out to wonder about this. Let's move on.
Counting down to Fable 2

god i wish this rumor would stop already...ok the 360 can run metal gear..not @ the ps3 pace but it'll still run...but let's not forget about kojima san who said that the he's not making it for the 360..let's put that 1 aside also...do u know how much stuff they'd have to change in the game..the ps3 controllers..the psp system..the apple computers..the crack about swapping discs (which would happen if it came 2 the 360) n so forth..kojima is a perfectionist so he's not gonna dumb the game down.. seeing he wasn't even fully satisfied with the final product work so plz let this rumor DIE!!!
btw- how stupid would it be to play the final version of a saga..dumb if you ask me

If Konami knows how to code at ALL, it would keep "pace" with the PS3 just fine... The PS3s cell is a bit better, at some things, but the 360s GPU is also a bit better, along with better memory layout and overall system architecture and bandwidth. I think someone bought into Sonys magical advertising I always talk about...

Haha @Max..
You claim you have a 360, and your friend has a ps3, BUT from looking at your various comments on "PS3FANBOY" It seems you HAVE a PS3..
We all know your a troll, but a lieing one? I thought trolls were sopposed to defend their console, not lie about having the other one?
I actually have both consoles, and MGS4 could certainly fit on the 360. It would be multiple disks but it's nothing the 360 couldn't handle..The graphics are just like cod4, but a bit better. The game's great, and if it came out on 360 I would probably buy it. Just for the sake of MGO, and cheevo's! :D

for the sake of MGO is right. if this were on 360 I doubt Konami would go through the trouble of creating their own online server and it wouldn't end up the clusterfuck it is now.

again.... not looking for a fight.

didn't stop many from playing DMC4 or VF5 or any other sequel that jumped onto the 360.
also take into account that many PS2 owners that have followed the series might own a 360 and haven't yet purchased a PS3 (like myself).
from what i've seen of MGS4, it does a pretty good job of bringing you up to speed. the flashbacks help.

Very good point.
My question was actually pointed towards players who haven't played through the series.
P.s the flashbacks are waaaaay helpful .... reminded me of twists from the previous game.
