Whoa this is up early today!
AtomicPlayboy @ Oct 17th 2008 11:53AM
Not only is that the best Joystiq podcast Photoshop job I've seen, it's some of the best, most realistic Photoshopping I've ever seen overall. Well done. (And creepy)
samfish @ Oct 17th 2008 11:57AM
"We don't know exactly why but Chris and Ludwig were really at each others' throats this week,"
I warned you guys not to share a bed at TGS, that it's fun when you're doing it but painfully awkward the next day...but NOOOOOO, you just HAD to save money on hotel costs!
WRE @ Oct 17th 2008 12:26PM
Did I miss something? Is "at each others' throats" a euphemism for something else? If so, wouldn't "at the back of each others' throats" be a more accurate description?
Zertoss @ Oct 17th 2008 12:34PM
I hope they used mouthwash.
Courtney @ Oct 23rd 2008 4:22PM
This discussion reminds me a bit of Matt Stair's gaffe last week:
"Not that I don't feel like I'm part of the team, but when you get that nice celebration coming in the dugout and you're getting your ass hammered by guys, there's no better feeling than to have that done."

My vote would be for Ludwig looking the creepiest.
Haggard @ Oct 17th 2008 1:31PM
The tiny head, the knowing smile.
Derek @ Oct 17th 2008 12:18PM
I hope Justin never looses any weight.
WRE @ Oct 17th 2008 12:24PM
You guys should play "The Final Countdown" before the podcast, but in the song when they sing, "It's the final countdown!" you should change it to sing, "It's the Joystiq Podcast!".
Haggard @ Oct 17th 2008 2:01PM
seconded!
Saria the Cat @ Oct 18th 2008 4:58AM

Firefox, NoScript, and AdBlock Plus. Learn 'em, use em', love 'em.
And this should've been the "Dirty Jokes and Beer" edition.

See those legs on the left side of the picture? Those are mine!
I'm famous now!
Justin McElroy @ Oct 17th 2008 1:20PM
Really? I always thought they were Ross'.
Ludwig Kietzmann @ Oct 17th 2008 1:41PM
They're actually mine. I always bring an extra pair.
Titanium_Orchid @ Oct 17th 2008 12:35PM
reminds me of the movie face/off.
It's like looking in a mirror. Only... not.
j.howlett @ Oct 17th 2008 12:39PM
glad it's up early
Zertoss @ Oct 17th 2008 12:46PM
The music in Sonic Chronicles surprised me. I honestly had no idea I was listening to music from classic Sonic games. They were completely unrecognizable at first due to the cheap MIDI.
Ludwig Kietzmann @ Oct 17th 2008 1:27PM
What what what. No, that can't be. You're kidding.
Zertoss @ Oct 17th 2008 1:44PM
I wish I were. Once you hear it, you can't unhear it.
theturtle363 @ Oct 17th 2008 1:05PM
I had a dream last night where Justin was in a movie with Tom Cruise. It was a spy movie or something and there was one part where Justin and Tom were running through a hotel gala in full tuxedos when the giant chandolier exploded. Then justin pulled out two MP5s and started shooting wildly at what i can only assume as a bunch of ruskies.
Someone should make that the photoshop for next week.
Justin McElroy @ Oct 17th 2008 1:22PM
You know what's bizarre? Five minutes ago I got this IM from Joystiq's Randy Nelson:
"Okay, weird dream last night. You and James were on stage performing an acoustic version of "Hovering Sombrero."
Justin FEVER!
Zertoss @ Oct 17th 2008 1:23PM
Ruskies? Justin was gunning down thetans!
theturtle363 @ Oct 17th 2008 1:48PM
no they were ruskies
Zertoss @ Oct 17th 2008 1:53PM
That's what they WANT you to think!
theturtle363 @ Oct 17th 2008 2:09PM
The thetans are in my dreams? But advertisements for lightspeed briefs aren't?
Zertoss @ Oct 17th 2008 2:13PM
I know, right? I blame our surplus of Tom Cruise and lack of alcohol-powered robots.
SAGExSDX @ Oct 17th 2008 1:17PM
will be getting this ep when i get home from work today. justin! i'll be seeing if you followed through on what you told me!
AngeredMailMan @ Oct 17th 2008 1:56PM

squeevi @ Oct 17th 2008 2:02PM
wait, so Justin you've spent over 17 hours in the bathroom playing FF: Grimoire of the Rift??? Wow, that's a lot of deuce time.
Justin McElroy @ Oct 17th 2008 2:39PM
I don't wanna talk about it.
sorensilk @ Oct 17th 2008 2:29PM
Why is there a picture of three random guys at the top of the post? Am I supposed to be familiar with them for some reason? I mean, I've been listening to the podcast since around Episode 20 but I have no idea who those three guys could be. I'm so confused right now.
Justin McElroy @ Oct 17th 2008 2:38PM
Maybe this will help:
http://www.joystiq.com/2008/02/24/joystiq-podcast-gdc08-special-part-3/
See that's ... and we're ... so ... got it?
sorensilk @ Oct 17th 2008 2:43PM
Apparently my attempt at humor failed...
Stupid sorensilk, be more funny!
felixlighter @ Oct 17th 2008 7:01PM
Is that an optical illusion or is Ludwig a miniature person?
I guess Chris, Justin, the disembodied legs and the furniture could all just be enormous.
kokuryukai @ Oct 17th 2008 2:45PM
what is Justin's PSN id?? want to add him to my friends list..
syrik zero @ Oct 17th 2008 9:09PM
It's JusticeIsGo
Marek Hryc @ Oct 17th 2008 3:15PM
I almost choked during that intro. HILARIOUS!
This is now intro #1 for the podcast.
theturtle363 @ Oct 17th 2008 3:52PM
since Justin is replying to this thread so much, i'd like to ask him a question I've posed through email several times without an answer. Obviously, I am the Batman guy here on joystiq, aside from that other guy with the batman icon, and ive been quite excited about the news of a The Dark Knight game. But about a month or so ago, kotaku reported that it was canceled for not meeting deadlines but no one else has reported that. Even more recently OXM had the little rumor mole section say that the game is still alive. Any news about that?
Markez @ Oct 17th 2008 5:08PM
Well, I'm not Justin, but you'll always be the real Batman guy in MY heart.
theturtle363 @ Oct 17th 2008 5:30PM
you dont know how much that means to me
Marek Hryc @ Oct 17th 2008 4:27PM
Chris, how right you are about the french in Quebec.
Paris french and Quebec french are completely different.
It's funny how some quebecers feel about France french people. Good stuff. Still hate the dumb laws here.
XGM @ Oct 17th 2008 6:15PM
lol 69
syrik zero @ Oct 17th 2008 6:16PM
I have to agree with you guys, Rock Band is a great game to drink with. Hauling it to friend's houses... Doesn't happen. I tell them no. I'd rather sit bored than move all that over. But drinking with games is fun, especially Rock Band =)
&rew @ Oct 17th 2008 7:35PM
I seem to hear a lot of talk about the legs, but you fools are completely ignoring the hand.
j.howlett @ Oct 17th 2008 9:24PM
i wonder if i add chris and justin to my psn list if we'd have any games in common? if i payed to be able to play online i'd probably get more games to make use of that but then i'd have to keep paying for gold. thats why i never got past the first time we had live on the original xbox. socom and counter strike being free of the extra charge cemented my thoughts on the matter
jerry micheals @ Oct 17th 2008 10:50PM
The constant snarfing is a wonderful addition to the show. I love how it drowns everyone out. It's so bright and loud that I can almost taste the snot. Did it taste good Justin? Slurping your snot down every three seconds? I heard that blowing your nose into a tissue does wonders for clearing the snot out, but of course if you do that, then you can't snack on it. I'm sure you knew that. It's a lovely, salty, gooey treat. Why waste it? Please bring the snot gargling back next week! PLEASE make it a permanent feature of the podcast!
theturtle363 @ Oct 17th 2008 11:21PM
dont be a dick
