As a resident of Manchester, England (where they're from), I can't start a conversation with anyone here who doesn't immediately profess their undying love for Oasis.

As for me, well, I think they're crap.

Oasis? Wait, they are still around? I thought for sure with the rampant egos running around in that band that they'd have broken up a LONG time ago.

Oasis still has a massive amount of fans... mostly outside the states. Just search one of their live performances on youtube and you'll find brilliant comments like "OASIS R FUCKIN' ACES!".

I like 2 or 3 of their songs, which I already bought in RB. Looks like once again GHWT is copying RB's concept of making whole albums available, and yet not doing quite as well. I don't mean that to sound fanboyish...Well, maybe it'll net them some profit in the UK.

You people should try actually listening to the album before just chuckling at it.

Ugh, the album isn't that great. And certainly not worth waiting til next year to play.

Why can't they do Morning Glory instead?

because they are trying to push the sales of their new album...

bleh. Dig Out Your Soul isn't that great.

(What's The Story) Morning Glory or Definitely Maybe would be better.

Or instead of Oasis having some Blur (Parklife, Blur) or Radiohead (OK Computer, In Rainbows).

I love Oasis (i know, i know), but their new album has nothing on their old stuff.

To me, Activision is going in the wrong direction if they want to compete with Rock Band, but then again, I don't know how well it will sell. I guess we'll find out.

First, Guitar Hero releases expansion games, now they are releasing full album DLC.... according to you, both are the wrong direction.

Tell me, what is this other direction that you want Guitar Hero to go?

What I meant is Guitar Hero's album DLC have been less than stellar. Both this Oasis album and Death Magnetic are imo not very good.

If Activision were to release, say, Master of Puppets or (What's the Story) Morning Glory, I could almost guarantee the sales would be higher.

It doesn't matter to me in particular though - I'll stick with Rock Band.

Even a bad Oasis album is better than half the crap today. iTunes killed the album. Too many artits just try to make one good song and forget how to make 10 or 11 good tracks.

Please bring back the '90s. Best music of the past 30 years.

Blur sucks. They had a couple good tracks but under Gorrilaz the band is far better.

Blur =/= Gorillaz.

It's only Albarn's project. No Coxon, James, or Rowntree.

And I have to quite disagree in the statement that Blur sucks. Parklife, Blur, Modern Life is Rubish, Think Tank, The Great Escape, all wonderful albums.

Plus they have Milky, nothing is better than Milky.

You do realize that Blur was in the 90s and Gorillaz is from the new millenium, right? ^_^

Anyway, Oasis is okay - but Blur is way better.

However, "Whats the story (morning glory)", and "Definately Maybe" would be FUCKING HUGE!

I dread to think how much i'd be willing to pay to play those albums.

This is great freakin' news! This band is truly one of the finest walking the earth at this time. Those of you who allow the radio/Clear Channel/tv forces to select your music for you are the ones that don't understand the quality of their music. Before you start slamming a band (due to stories in the press or things someone told you about them) that you're vaguely aware of, listen to the music. There's a reason these guys are worldwide stars and adored around the globe. The fact that they don't always play nice with the U.S. music press has a lot to do with them not getting the attention they deserve in this country. Let the music do the talking.

For the record, Dig Out Your Soul went to #5 on the US charts and straight to the top of the UK and world charts with over 300k+ in it's first week. And they have a sold out tour in the UK and America this year; just played to 120,000 fans at Wembley Arena the past two nights and just announced their biggest UK stadium tour for next year.

So yeah, they've got a bit of fans. Just a little bit.

I am not sure about rest of the world but the music industry here in the US is a joke. A few companies which own all of the radio stations take bribes/payola from large labels and play the same rotations 24-7. MTV (which owns RB) is part of this same system. Actvision (which owns guitar hero) is trying to get into this industry.

Guitar Hero and RB could of made their mark as vehicles to launch independent artists. Harmonix, the company behind both GH and RB used to do that well, but MTV just had to ruin it all for the mighty dollar.
