Warhammer Online players will soon have to make room in their groups (and their hearts) for two new tank classes: Empire's Knights of the Blazing Sun and the Dark Elven Black Guards. If you're familiar with the game, the fact that those are similar to the Ironbreaker and Chosen respectively will mean something to you. If you're not familiar with the game ... well, why are you still reading this?
There's no firm date set for the new additions, but our friends at Massively tell us that EA and Mythic are aiming for December. Oh, and you can put your gold coins away, the additions will be free of charge.

I love the people that comment with useless information no one cares about just for the sake of talking.

Good deal!
Ever since Mr. Moore went to EA, they've been getting their act together!
I can't wait to suit up as a Blackguard. It will be a good alt to my DoK.
I really wish they would make some of the 'Order' classes look more 'cool'. I know the 'Destruction' side is a little more populated because of the 'coolness factor'.
@ brickwalker0
Usually (and I use that term lightly), MMO players are dedicated to their genre. However, there are quite a few of us that do play console games too. I myself took a break from my 3 consoles to get some MMO time in. Once I 'burn out' I will go back and play catch up on all the great games that came out while I played my MMO (this case, WAR).
Mythic did a really good job on this MMO, I am thankful for all the MMO's out there and knowing that I have options other than WoW, i.e., EQ 1 or 2, LOTRO, DDO, Vanguard, PlanetSide, SWG, etc. WAR is actually the first MMO that pulled me away from EQ1 after all the others failed.
Kudos!

You realize Peter Moore only oversees EA Sports, right?

I play on some RP server whose name I can't be bothered to remember. Ostermark? Osterheim?? Level 18-ish order side. I went RP because, to be honest, it draws a more mature crowd and you see less people with stupid names running around spamming the general chat channel, peppering their conversation with "lol."
If anybody else here is on this server, let me know!

There was a conversation on Avelorn last night about how people come to the RP servers because they're more mature but don't abide by the rules themselves (i.e. stupidly OOC names).
Seriously, if you want to be on a roleplaying server but not roleplay, I don't really care. Just don't be actively disruptive about it, which includes your name.

Most of the OOC names I see are Witch Hunters with some derivative of the name "Van Helsing." Naming policies on the RP servers are the strictest I've seen, so I just report them and go about my business.
We probably should've collaborated on which server the Joystiq people would play on before the game came out :p
And I'm Bivotar on Ostermark. I use that name because my "RL" name is the same name as a character from a Zork "Pick Your Own Adventure" book who wanders into Zork and gets assigned the name of "Bivotar."
Which I thought would be just about the nerdiest thing I could possibly do.

That maybe so, but I'm sure that he radiates his 'awesomeness' to the rest of EA for no extra charge! ;)

Thank god, the lack of an Empire tank was kind of annoying.

I was skeptical too. But when I bought my Gateway P-7811FX from Best Buy, I just picked it up as my freebie game when they had their sale.
Knowing what I know now, I would have paid for it. It's been well worth it and if Mythic continues to update and address player's concerns as well as they have, they will have a good solid core of players for quite some time.
Go ahead and try it Jack. Just keep in mind that it is a PvP type of MMO more than a PvE MMO.
Good luck and have fun!

You'd likely do more damage to yourself trying to put on that dark armor than it would protect you from to begin with. Seriously, that's unnecessarily spiky.
