We're definitely importing Tatsunoko vs. Capcom

There's just no way around it now. We have to have Tatsunoki vs. Capcom. Why? Just watch the trailer above! The game looks amazing in motion. With the volume of awesome characters in the game, as well as all of those minigames, this game is looking to be the ultimate fighter. We're kind of curious to see about those controls, too.

But, yeah, thankfully there's homebrew that will allow us to play this when we import it. And we're definitely importing it. How about you?

Mega Man (circa Mega Man Legends) is totally playable in the game. And so is Roll (as evidenced by the link in the post)!

so this is what those 'vs capcom' games look like, huh? i've never been crazy for fighting games (power stone and soul calibur on the dreamcast being the last time-suckers...) but i really need this. like, bad.

Don't hold your breathe for a NA or even Euro release. Capcom has all but said it won't happen.

Crazy copyright clusterfuck is the fitting alliteration to use. Same thing if Toei tried to get all their properties together for one video game outside of Japan, except its harder in Tatsunoko's case because few enough of their works have really hit it big over here

...I'm kind of disappointed with the relatively small roster, though.

Damn that trailer is SICK. I might have to look into hacking my Wii and importing this one. I'm a big Capcom/Street Fighter fanatic, so I definitely intend to play this some way, somehow.

How do you play import games on US Wii?

All you need is a copy of Twilight Princess, a SD card, some way to get files from your computer to your SD card (like a USB cable for a digital camera, etc) and that's pretty much it. You know how I got my feet wet with homebrew? Playing DVDs:

Folks, this is never coming out here. The probability that North American licensing rights for the Tatsunoko characters will ever be secured is something like 2%.

If I were Capcom, given the situation.... I'd drop the Tatsunoko characters, replace them with something they can actually gets the rights to, and release this game in North America.

Even if Capcom can't get the rights to Tatsunoko characters, they could easily get the rights to *something else*.

Will definitely pick this up, but I wish the characters(other than the Capcom side, obviously) weren't so Japan-centric.

I recognize all the characters (am I otaku then?) so I can buy/import it just to buy/import it, though it is not my genre.

P.S. Karas is coool. TokyoToshokan had recently complete movie (all OAVs) from niizk.

Is Dan Hibiki gonna make an appearance in this game? That would really make my day (Of course in addition to it being announced for US/UK territories).

I haven't played a fighting game in ages... But this really makes me want to play one... THIS ONE!

I may end up importing this but either way I hope Capcom takes this engine and makes something that can get official worldwide release. I'm sure there wouldn't be any legal issues to get in the way of a Capcom vs SNK on Wii. Or a Street Fighter, DarkStalkers, or Capcom All-Stars type game for Wii would also be great. Come on Capcom, you've given the Wii plenty of great games, keep them coming.
