World Tour set to offer Oasis album as DLC

After announcing their launch week plans for Guitar Hero World Tour DLC, Activision just revealed that Oasis' Dig Out Your Soul album DLC will be offered in its entirity or as individual tracks (eleven total) in 2009.

Though, you won't have to wait until 2009 to get your World Tour Oasis fix, because on Thursday, November 6th an Oasis Track Pack will be available for purchase off the XBLM. This three song pack will include tracks from the Dig Out Your Soul album including "Bag it Up", "Waiting for the Rapture" and "The Shock of the Lightning." Yah dig?

still not gonna buy this game. Rock Band 2's weekly DLC > GH:WT's sporatic/crappy DLC.

Honestly, Guitar Hero is going to be an epic fail. I think Rock Band already picked up some of their best songs. These ones are... Meager.

Good deal. I'm really looking forward to GHWT.. Sure RB2 comes out with new DLC every week, but GHWT could have stuff coming out 27/7 once people start getting into the Music Studio part of the game. That's what I'm excited about.

Lets be honest here.. who would buy this piece of shit album as DLC?

Amazing album. This is killer news for people that actually appreciate good hard rock done with attitude and incredible sonics. Go Oasis!!!

I'm not a fan of Oasis at any length, but from what I know of them, even from people who appreciate their music, it's a bore to play in music games.

Karaoke games, fine, Rock Band and it's bastard little brother? bleh. I'll take the whole Texas Flood album for Rock Band before the end of the year instead.

Yea, I love classic songs in my games. Way to go adding this album.

The only thing keeping me interested in GH:WT is the music maker mode. I REALLY wish rock band had kept this mode in (they DID announce it for rock band 1, after all). Oh well, It'll probably be in rock band 3 or something.

Why oh why did The Shock of the Lightening have to be in the one designed for morons?
