We've all had gaming sessions so lengthy that a thin layer of film formed between our posteriors and our furniture -- but rarely have we ever had a worthwhile reason for doing so. However, as of 9 a.m. today, gaggles of stick-to-it-ive gamers set off on a 24-hour gaming marathon to raise money for the Texas Children's Cancer Center, as part of Sarcastic Gamer's Extra Life charity event.
While it's too late to join in today's festivities, a "Rain Date", scheduled for next Saturday, will allow latecomers to garner donations and participate in the marathon. Not interested in developing bedsores? You could always donate directly to the cause -- or offer participants in your area a tall cup of coffee (or a much appreciated hand massage).

Or you can donate money to SingSterling, which is being live streamed right now.
Donations go here:
http://waystogive.texaschildrens.org/NetCommunity/Page.aspx?pid=210&srcid=211&frsid=840
The live stream is here:
http://www.nowlive.com/comboplayer/NewComboPlayer.aspx?id=55116&agree=true
You already missed Jim singing "Tutti Fruitti" as Liquid Snake. However, if you run there now you can watch him sing "Paranoid" by Ozzie.
There are currently 130 people watching the SingSterling marathon! Thanks to everyone who's already donated!

Just over 12 hours in here. Had some good times on Halo 3 with the JPAG and X3FFDF guys so far, played a good portion of Uncharted, and am currently taking turns working through Soul Calibur 4. Good times!

For me -
15hrs to beat Marvel UA cover to cover. Then some race style, PGR 4 & Forza. Wrapped up with my regular nightly trashing of CoD4 w/ the interweb friends.
Very glad I had good games (just beat GTA4, kinda down about that and lost as to which game to play.. happy I put in MUA), plenty of coffee, and plenty of brew!

Three comments on this story with upwards of seventy-seven on a meta-review of Max Payne.

I felt a little bad about that as well.
i am actualy doing extra life next weekend, with far cry 2, so i guess i shouldn't feel bad. Raised £120 which isn't bad for a kid doing it without his parents permision.
