Mortal Kombat II vanishes from PSN

There's mystery afoot, dear gumshoes! One of the best-selling titles on the PSN (not to mention one of the best arcade fighters ever), Mortal Kombat II, has reportedly disappeared from the American PlayStation Store -- and from the download list of those who have already purchased the toasty title.

No official word has come from Sony or Midway about the disappearance, though some potential kombatants who contacted customer service were informed that the disappearance is probably due to a glitch caused by firmware update 2.50. With a little under a month before the release of Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe, this "Case of the Missing Brawler" really couldn't have come at a more inconvenient time.

[Thanks to everyone who sent this in!]
