DS releases for the week of October 20th

There are a lot of games out this week. In fact, it makes other heavy weeks look absolutely empty, and yet, this blogger only has eyes for one game. In the shadow of Castlevania, there is so little room for anything else. Luckily, even with such a big list, there aren't a lot of contenders even trying for the spotlight.

No comment on the rest of the world, as I happen to live in North America.

No contenders for the spotlight? What about Spider-Man: Web of Shadows. it looks extremely promising.

You obviously have only seen the trailers for the Console version.

I dunno about that Shoyz. After seeing the trailer for the DS version, as well as hearing it be described by one of the developers over at the PA forums, I'm pretty interested in the DS version as well. Metroidvania gameplay with a spiderman skin to it? Doesn't sound too bad to me.

Castlevania. Yes. Most momentous DS release since...well, since the last Castlevania.

And I see that Master of the Monster Lair is coming out. Hopefully now that Atlus has this churned out they'll concentrate on a game that some of us were actually interested in (please don't kill me, people who were looking forward to this)

Have you read the reviews? Even the positive reviews make the game sound really, really, really boring and the opposite of fun.

Atlus needs to make less Draglade and more awesome, though. 2009 looks promising for our favourite nerd distributers.

Waaaaaaaay less Draglade. Pretty much all of their stuff has been Draglade this year. In 2009 they're really going to have to step up their game because of competition from Marvelous. I'd love Mugen no Frontier, Riz-Zoawd, Culdcept, or Steal Princess, but knowing their recent trends, the next thing they'll announce will be Windy X Windam -_-

Woah... I think we're gonna need a dumptruck to "shovel" all this "ware....

I'm waiting for Spider-Man. :D

The only other good game coming out for DS this week besides the Castlevania title is Ketsui Death Label.

Man, talk about a seriously empty week for being so packed full!
