Fable 2 online co-op patch done, ready for day one

After having all the fun sucked out of that Collector's Edition, it's nice to see Lionhead Studios putting something back into Fable 2 ... even if it is a prominent feature that was promised to be included anyway. That's worth half a cheer, right?

According to the game's development blog, the patch enabling online fiend slaying and frolicking has been completed and will be ready for download on day one. That's October 21st if you're in America, and October 24th if you live in Europe. We look forward to leaping into your world and ~~beating~~ meeting your lovely wife.

I am really excited, right now you can see and talk to your buddies' orbs but not actually play with them, it's a bummer.
I'm also kind of wishing I'd played pub games and exploited the glitch, starting out with a gazillion dollars would have been nice. It's like being born rich.

Also takes away from a lot of the fun in the game. I'd rather start off poor and have to work my way up in the game as a blacksmith or cutting wood. Starting off with the ability to buy everything you need and provide easily for your family won't be quite the same.

Besides, I'm getting enough free junk from the pub games, official website and the collectors edition.

Make sure you're using Internet Explorer with those free flash games; I was unsuccessful with Safari & Firefox before turning to the dark side to get my loot.

Fairly certain the patch is available already if you have a, um, 'legit' copy.

I was sort of excited for this, but after playing the game already, I don't see how co-op would be any more exciting than the regular game.

I'm playing right now, I have to say, I have a midterm on tuesday, I haven't been able to put it down the whole weekend.
This is th eonly game that has made gaining super powers really reallly cool. Like I doen't even know how to explain it. Mr moyleneux should wina grammy, oscar and AMA for this.
