Prince of Persia Classic assaultin' PSN on Oct. 23

What the headline so clumsily tries to convey is that Ubisoft's snazzy, non-rotoscoped remake of 1989's Prince of Persia will finally arrive on the PlayStation Network this Thursday, October 23rd. Sporting modernized 3D graphics, new traps and the same perfectly-postured-princess-in-peril plot we've grown to love, Prince of Persia Classic is sure to awaken nostalgia while preparing you for the royal acrobat's next adventure -- unimaginatively dubbed Prince of Persia. With any luck, we'll be appending "classic" to it as well when it releases on December 2nd.

* And Farah-fetched. Still, much better than the original headline that Vizier a second ago.

THIS GAME IS OFFENSIVE TO MY PEOPLE!
I demand it get's pushed back a week.
Tiptup300 @ Oct 20th 2008 3:38PM
My people! What do you mean "MY PEOPLE?"
Haggard @ Oct 20th 2008 3:38PM
Well, it's a very specific part of Islam that you're not supposed to mix the verses of the Qu'ran with song - Just like how Jews don't say the name of God except on specific ceremonies.
It's not that the song in LBP 'might cause offense', it's that it does something which is actually forbidden.

My people! What do you mean "MY PEOPLE?"
'Huh!?'
: )
Obie @ Oct 20th 2008 3:45PM
Silly religious people with silly rules.
So silly.
Jakka @ Oct 20th 2008 4:52PM
@ Lario
Awesome reference is awesome.
Haggard @ Oct 20th 2008 5:22PM
Silly rules perhaps, but it'd be like forcing a Jewish person to eat a bacon sandwich before they're allowed to play LBP.
So still offensive.
Replica23 @ Oct 20th 2008 9:59PM
"Silly religious people with silly rules.
So silly."
Because the rules of society you live by are any better. Everyone lives by rules, most just don't believe it.

Man, I really do want this game, buy I have so many other games that I will be playing. Im almost done with DeadSpace(One of my most favorite games of the year) They did a beautiful job designing the game.

J.Goodwin @ Oct 20th 2008 3:25PM
This game was excellent two years ago when it came out on 360.
sk8monroe81 @ Oct 20th 2008 3:32PM
and 20 years ago when the game was released too...
J.Goodwin @ Oct 20th 2008 3:34PM
True, but it had different game mechanics two years ago than it did 20 years ago. Much more accessible now.
baby sea tuna @ Oct 20th 2008 4:10PM
True. I wish they'd re-release Exit with the usability of this title. It would have been genius with a cleaner control system!
sk8monroe81 @ Oct 20th 2008 7:38PM

I really wanted to like this game on the XBLA, but the combat was infuriatingly cheap...so I never finished it.
matthew dickinson @ Oct 20th 2008 4:21PM
