What more could we ask for? How about an interactive map for those who want to plan their attack ahead of the game's release this Tuesday. Yep, it's got that too. However, if the latest rumors are to be believed, most may have to wait until mid-November to see it for themselves.
Visit Africa in Home beta's Far Cry 2 space

While sucking down virtual oxygen in Home's over-ripe extended closed beta, players may notice a new addition to the neighborhood in the form of a space dedicated to Far Cry 2's African landscape. Highlights include a dilapidated train station, information about the forthcoming shooter's warring factions and a multiplayer game of Mancala (complete with bullets used as playing pieces).
What more could we ask for? How about an interactive map for those who want to plan their attack ahead of the game's release this Tuesday. Yep, it's got that too. However, if the latest rumors are to be believed, most may have to wait until mid-November to see it for themselves.

Now this is pretty freaking kickass in my book, especially for free. Now to actually make this into a reality for us actual gamers and not just the press. I can't wait to see what other games can do with this and expand it further. :)

I think what's so special is that it encompasses all online games into a friendly user interface. It's like xbox live for the 360. I remember during the original xbox days when you'd have to find matches within Halo 1 to play online. That's kind of how it is on PS3 right now, but with home, that'll all change.
You need to go home.

So, Africa IS going to be in Sony's lineup in the US!

No thats not what the article means. One of the locations in Far Cry 2 is Africa and you are able to visit that location (Africa) in Home via the Far Cry 2 space.

I'm waiting for the HOME release too.
Though I have the beta access, but the hall is empty...I feel alone.
(OK, I'm in Asian region and we don't have that many people owning PS3.)

If you know someone in another beta, they can invite you to the other regions.

Mancala is a pretty cool game but its ridiculous how long it takes to download these new places to go. Anyway, Home is still pretty pointless and boring.

I've never waited more than three minutes to download the new spaces, and home definitely isn't boring. Three days ago me and about 12 random people grouped together to try an exploit a glitch in the Far Cry 2 map that lets your character get on top of some buildings. Later I saw a conga line of about nine female avatars in the Drake's Fortune space dancing around and shouting girls gone wild.
I'm not going to argue with you on the pointless argument though... but then again I don't have many friends on the PS3
