If they get get some Old 97's or Wilco in Rock Band, that would be awesome.

The only good part of this article is that it contains the words "Rock Band" and "Ska" together. Now if only they would make some skanking character animations as DLC...

You know what, he does have the balls, and SO DO I! Seriously though, nooooot a fan of country, but if they put "She Thinks My Tractor's Sexy" in there, I'm gonna be all over that like a molasses on a jack rabbit in the middle of July.

Man, Jolean is quite the awesome song. Maybe they can get the white stripes cover. Either way, I can't believe I actually LIKE a Dolly Parton song, it's just so bad ass (and kinda f'ed up).

I'm a 100% hater of most modern rock, specially this emo shit...but I'll take ANYTHING over country. It's the only kind of music that I literally can't listen to because I either get a headache or I start to get really pissed off.

If they start breaking out the Country and Hip-Hop (really hoping for the later as well!) they need to start including some instrumental stuff. YYZ is nice and all, but they could do a lot better.

Explosions in the Sky, Russian Circles, This Will Destroy You, Mogwai... That's the stuff I'd really like to see.

I'm nota huge fan of country music. I usually don't the voice of the singers, or the lyrics.

But listen to the music: is very good. Some of the riffs are excellent... same with the solos.

But I prefer country over MTV rock, Nirvana rockers and Radiohead and Weezers guys.

If they want to expand genres through DLC, that's fine with me. HMX has done it right to this point, so I'll trust they'll give me the chance to pick and choose whatever I want. But yeah, I don't think I would buy a whole disc. No RB: Country edition.

Ever since I actually sat down and played some Rock Band, I've been wishing they'd put some jazz in the game. Now, at least I know that's a possibility, somewhere out there on the horizon.

Let's just say that the number 1 thing I am telling the DJ at my wedding reception is that if he plays any country, he's not getting the rest of his money.

John & Fernando, wrong arguement folks.

If we were talking about Guitar Hero then maybe your points about too many chords are justified. But this is Rock BAND, and as such requires the pieces to add up to something bigger than themselves. I'm afraid that country bass, drums and vocals rarely add up to anything worth listening to.

Fiddle Hero. Steel Guitar hero. That's what you need. Keep that junk out of my ROCK BAND.

Oh boohoo. There's going to be music available that appeals to other people's taste. Get the hell over it. If you don't want to purchase the Downloadable Content, then don't.

Don't whine about it. Just shut up and spend your money on something you like.

Screw country. Harmonix needs to work on putting more They Might Be Giants into the game.

I'd also like to see some hip-hop that isn't the Beastie Boys, because "So Whatcha Want" is the easy song to perfect on Bass, Guitar, and Vocals.

Try and put some stuff from The Go! Team in there. They're hip-hop and they have a crapload of instruments.

If they're going to start releasing more instrumentals as DLC, they need to come up with something better than forcing you to kick your vocalist.

The concept of RB is to bring people together, and DLC that forces a person to drop out (or the rest of the band can't play it) just seems to go against that.

I wish they would do it the Guitar Hero: World Tour way, which just leaves a blank track with some "pump up the crowd" spots.

I hope this is coming soon. I was riding my 4 wheeler listening to Alabama on my ipod Sunday and singing along thinking how great it would be to have it in RB2!

Bring it on. I used to HATE country as much as the next guy, but the newer shit is more like rock anyway. Brad Paisley, Kenny Chesney, those are some fun songs...

"Song! Song of the South! Sweet Potato Pie and I shut my mouth.

Gone! Gone with the Wind, ain't nobody lookin' back again.......!"

It's odd, I was born in Illinois and moved to Alabama in middle school. I didn't like country until I was exposed to it after moving to Missouri after college. Them's some country lovin' fools in the midwest...

All you haters, expand your horizons a bit. My first country concert was Toby Keith. I was sold when he sung "I'll never smoke weed with Willie, Again" Those guys know how to party...

From a musicians stand point, IMMO, country musicians are more talented in the aspects of music and musicianship than alot of rock bands. It's the whole band also, not just the guitar. Theres nothing like an amazing country rhythym section with tight bass and drums. The guitar players in country though..man. The attention to tone and detail can be amazing. Brent Mason, Brad Paisley and Pete Anderson would be my favorites.
I find it a breeze doing the simple patterns of Metallica's One solo when compared to something like Nervous Breakdown lol

If people are gonna say something stupid like, country music is for rednecks, then why not metal is for satanists? It's an unfair bias on both sides.

There is dumb country music of course, just like all the dumb rock out there, but it deserves more respect. Then again, who cares cause rock band is a horrible simulation of being in any band, and also not an accurate representation of playing any instrument.

with what ur saying, some of the new country can be crap(i listen country all of the time, and hate most of sugarland's songs)But a lot of the groups get good sound and solos. The Zac Brown Band, Brad Paisley(Cliffs of Rock City would be on epic song in tht game), Keith Urban, Alan Jackson (whos does an old-school country sound), Rascal Flatts, Toby Keith, Craig Morgan, and many more all have friggin awesome guitar parts

I've had a number of people comment that they'd like rockabilly, southern rock, etc. I was showing an older neighbor guitar hero 3 on my Wii and he was pretty excited at the game at first until he saw the song selection.
