You don't think the joystiq bloggers could tell the difference between Fett and a Mandalorian? Well actually, that seems possible

i cant find any link to a poster, but the boba style helmet was used by Mandalorian supercommandos that weren't formed until quite a long time after this game is set, in this time they'd most likely still be wearing Neo Crusader armor

Cannot wait. I am....extremely excited to hear about this. I hope they have a release date in mind. I know that is high hopes, but it would be awesome. I spent 2 and half years on SWG. I miss the old days of that game.

KOTOR MMO! My life is forfeit. Seriously ive avoided Warcraft for the reason of if i started what i have that qualifies for a life would be over, but if it is Kotor there is no power in the 'verse that can stop me from playing it. Waiting in anticipation!

All they announced was an MMO. 'Lame' is in the eye of the beholder.

as incredibly excited I am about the mmo (Mandalorian bounty hunter class please) I would still much rather have a regular old KOTOR 3 along with this. Who knows, they still have that vague "next gen game" listing on their in development list, we can only hope it will be KOTOR 3. Either way, in the hands of bioware, I doubt this will be another cookie cutter WoW based MMO, when Bioware says they'll do something better I believe them

Is the consensus seriously that a KOTOR MMO would be a good thing? How has corporate gaming made the idea of a monthly "subscription fee" to play a game palatable? Grinding, gold-farming, endless nonsense - these are the things you want to become more prevalent in the gaming community? Sheesh.

Give me a good, story-driven game with robust online and multiplayer support *ANY DAY* over yet another MMO.

Umm, that's what we're anticipating. The story of the first KOTOR, made by BioWare, was AMAZING. It was like sex, except we were having it. BioWare is known for great RPG's, and the thought of a sequel/MMO make me tingly, as I'm sure it does everyone else.

You didn't play the original Star Wars Galaxies, did you?

That game went WAY beyond grinding and gold farming.

Funny, my idea of having sex involves staying the night at my girlfriend's house, not staying at home alone...

Imagine an mmo where you beat a full single player experience then you go to the online part. With the abillity to go back to the single player part when you want, or the multiplayer. That would be sweet.

Haha, it's ok. I was just trying to point out that BioWare made the first KOTOR epic, and I think whatever they decide to do will be epic as well, whether it be MMO or just a new single-player entry, or even something not KOTOR. Although, if they do make it a MMO and it sucks, I just might cry.

"Give me a good, story-driven game with robust online and multiplayer support *ANY DAY* over yet another MMO. "

Umm that's what they're promising. A good story-driven game with a robust online multiplayer component. MMOs are the ultimate multiplayer RPG and any flaws they have are either the result of bland design or the very idea of stretching out an RPG to last this long. I find the idea of a Star Wars MMO to be very exciting and with Bioware I trust it will be good.

If this really is a KOTOR MMORPG, then this will be the first MMO I'm willing to pay a subscription for. I don't play MMOs at all save for Guild Wars, but I'm psyched for this, assuming this is what were hoping it is.
Now if only we had that Firefly MMO...

I think that there's a lot of lessons to be learned from WoW. In WoW the devs use this technology called "phasing" (http://www.wowinsider.com/2008/08/25/phasing-is-the-new-instancing/) that allows different people to see different versions of the world based on their actions.

This can be used in KOTOR. For example some players might not see Bendak Starkiller because of a previous decision to duel to the death with him. Note that I know that he's dead already.
