La-li-lu-le-look at this MGS4-themed PS3 mod
So, you think naming your kid Nicholai Stephanovich Sokolov Smith is enough to prove that you're the biggest Metal Gear Solid fan? Well, in the immortal words of Michael Jackson, if you don't own the above custom PS3, then you ain't bad. In fact, you ain't nothin'.
The system, which includes a backlit logo and the signatures of Hideo Kojima and Yumi Kikuchi, can be yours along with a few other MGS collectibles for the low, low price of ... well, whatever the high bid ends up being on eBay. It's currently a bargain at $7,100.
...You know, you could probably prove you're the world's biggest Syphon Filter fan for a lot cheaper than that. Just saying.

Tiptup300 @ Oct 22nd 2008 2:07PM
I still don't get the la-le-la-lu thing. >_>
JoeTheBlow @ Oct 22nd 2008 8:45AM
Its just a shame its a metal plate stuck on top of a repainted case.
I'd be more impressed if he'd directly etched it into a metal PS3 casing.
Still very nice, but i'd have to store this thing in some type of laser-alarm protected glass case for fear of burglars/children-with-sticky-fingers.

Yeah, the one you made was much better...
xFenixKnightx @ Oct 22nd 2008 8:47AM
That looks SICK!
BTW, where is Syphon Filter for PS3 anyway? Haven't heard anything about a new one.
Miguel @ Oct 22nd 2008 9:09AM
Good question, I would love to see a new Syphon game.
j.howlett @ Oct 22nd 2008 9:28AM
the psp games are fun
Haggard @ Oct 22nd 2008 9:42AM
The Syphon filter devs are currently working on the PSP resistance game iirc.
Noshino @ Oct 22nd 2008 9:43AM
Sony Bend, the developers of the Syphon Filter franchise, are busy with Resistance: Retribution...
Although I would love a SP for PS3, they are one of the best PSP developers, seemingly pushing the PSP's hardware to the max.
Duke @ Oct 22nd 2008 9:55AM
That is pretty damn nice looking.
Hey Noshino, this looks like a good buy for you. I believe it would make you something like a prince in the annals of Sony fandom. Gonna go for it?
Noshino @ Oct 22nd 2008 11:34AM
Ouch...
Sure, I ll get it just to make you happy as it seems that you seem to be lacking that on your life :]
Duke @ Oct 22nd 2008 12:26PM
That was a nasty reply, I was kidding Noshino. Wow.
Noshino @ Oct 22nd 2008 5:31PM
You shouldn't take everything seriously, I was kidding as well, chill pal :]
ZaxCG2 @ Oct 22nd 2008 9:17AM

You have been warned.

FREE SHIPPING?!?!?!? That makes any $7,000+ investment that much more enticing!
Wise Guy @ Oct 22nd 2008 10:13AM
That's one badass looking grill. It's time to break out the patties and BBQ! :)
DWells55 @ Oct 22nd 2008 10:34AM
See, now that'd be cool. Metal Gear Solid 4 logo grill marks on my steaks? Who wouldn't be impressed by that!?!
... what's that? Everyone except me? Oh.
Will @ Oct 22nd 2008 10:44AM
Most importantly:
"An original 60GB Playstation 3 with FULL hardware backwards compatibility was used to create this mod."
SoCoolCurt (PSN: KillaKornbread - XBL: SoCoolCurt) @ Oct 22nd 2008 11:46AM

Eru @ Oct 22nd 2008 2:10PM
Now that's cool. Sick.
Thinking about pimping my PS3 a little bit..
JoeTheBlow @ Oct 22nd 2008 3:55PM
