My local Circuit City has an aisle and a half dedicated just to Rock Band and Guitar Hero... and RB2 stuff isn't even in the aisle yet. (out of room) ;D

No more room for other music games? So that's Activision's plan with releasing several versions of Guitar hero...
Actually, I like the idea of not using a whole guitar. Wouldn't the Wiimote work fine with just a neck button addon with a wire as long as the Nunchuk's and use motion for the rest?

Just stop buying stupid non music products. Guitar Hero was the dumbest idea ever. Rock Band at least was smarter to add the microphone and drum with actually take some skill and coordination.

But like in the "GH" story in the South Park episode, having "skills" by pushing buttons on a toy guitar is cheesy.

At least DDR you move your feet and "dance" in the loosest of terms and KR you sing.

Just stick with Rock Band, they did it right from the beginning. GH is playing catch up now.

As long as they don't make new guitars/drums/mics mandatory every year.

Or are they mandatory? I haven't got RB2 yet, I hope it works with my RB1 stuff so I can just get the disc.

Works just fine with my Rock Band 1 guitars, mic, and drums as well as Guitar Hero 2 guitars on my 360.

Note to retailers: Give better customer service and open larger stores. I have a 3000sq ft. video game store in los angeles with 18 1080p hd tv's people can demo games on. I have plenty of room for whatever a publisher wants to throw at me and a love and respect for gamers like myself.

Yes, because building a whole new store for the sake of some plastic instruments makes perfect logical sense.

Idiot.

Can't all these music making companies come the agreement of making mutual products and getting equal profits from the peripherals. Then it is up to you to make your game better than the other games. If you do then you make more from the game itself, and if not, you still make money from the manufacture of the peripherals.

I've said it before about these games and I'll say it again ...
as a real musician (multi instumentalist) , I say buy a real guitar and get on with learning how to play it, and much less plastic/precious retail floor space .....
I refuse to buy into these games and all their periph ..

They should make one set of universal instrument controllers and just focus on making money off of the games and downloadable content. My friend's mom works at the Bel Air, Maryland Target store and she had broke her ankle tripping over a pile of PS2 Guitar Hero 3 bundles. My local GameStop manager only orders 2 Rock Band bundles for each system at a time because he just doesn't have the room for them in the store.
