Presidents of the USA 3-Pack arriving on Rock Band Nov. 4

Presidents of the U.S.A. is a great example of a band that's completely under-appreciated by the general populace. Sure, you maybe have self-consciously swayed to "Peaches" at your middle school dance, but most people lost the plot there, completely forgoing all the great stuff PUSA went on to make. Not for everyone, certainly, but better than the one-hit-wonder status they sputtered out at in the minds of most.

Finally, the band's getting a little love with a Rock Band three-pack coming Nov. 4, according to a Gamerscore Blog post that we hope is on the money. The pack includes "Dune Buggy" and "Feather Pluckn" from their eponymous debut and "Ladybug" from their new record These are the Good Times People. We've embedded videos for all the tracks after the break.

There's a pack, why these? Although in fairness I haven't listened to them yet, maybe they are good.

Kitty is one of their few explicit songs, maybe that's part of it. But in my opinion it's far from their best songs anyways.

PUSA is one of my top 10 bands of all time, if not in the top 5. Right alongside Radiohead, Jimi Hendrix, Led Zep, Beatles, Rush, Primus, etc. (in no particular order)

I noticed that a lot of times they don't release the most known/wanted songs by a certain band or from a certain album, like with PUSA now and when they didn't put Pork and Beans on the Weezer Red Album pack. Three of the most famous Nirvana songs from Nevermind (Smells Like Tee Spirit, Come as You Are and Lithium) didn't see the light of the day on RB yet too.

Is it because they aren't musically interesting? I don't think so. Or is it because they are holding them off for the next title in the series or a later pack or something?

Yeah, this band is lost on me.

There's a million better bands with a million better songs. Drummers who can drum, and singers who can sing.

We're not, gonna maaaake it!

After giving these a listen I think I'll download the whole pack. After giving some of the free songs coming out the same day a listen, I'm still on the fence about using my code... Now that's just ass backwards :(

Does RB overchord these songs? POTUSA uses a two string bass and three string guitar.

Well, most of the chords that are played by the PotUSA require only one finger. Of course, it would be really boring to only ever play one-note chords. I think the way HMX charted Lump was both enjoyable, and consistent with the way all other songs are charted.

Fun Fact: Everybody wants to be naked and famous...

Not so fun fact: I had to go to the ER after a Presidents show in Kansas City as I thought I had broke my ankle (turned out to just be a really bad sprain). Pissed me off that after all the punk/metal shows I had been to over the years, the only injury I ever got at a show was at the Presidents.

Oh my sweet zombiejesus. I love all those songs. Now if they can do some stuff from there later albums like Nothing But Luv or Some Postman.

IMO, the PotUSA were best on 2- and 3-string guitars, and the albums you named are played on 4- and 6-strings. If there's only going to be one pack, this is a good one.

Now we just need to wait for PotUSA pack 2 ;)
