The World of Warcraft is hoppin' yet again -- patch 3.0.2, a.k.a. "Echoes of Doom" is out on the live realms, and everyone is revelling in the new talents, the new Inscription profession, and the new endgame, which is easier and more lucrative than ever. And Hallow's End has begun as well, bringing players of all kinds out to the Scarlet Monastery's Graveyard, where the Headless Horseman holiday raid boss calls home. Yes, times are good in Azeroth, but what's that in the Autumn air? A cold wind is about to blow in from the North...

Did you ever pick up a parent or older sibling's calculus or chemistry textbook when you were in elementary school? You're old enough to read and pronounce the words but the subject matter is far beyond your comprehension? Having never ventured to try WOW that's how I felt skimming through WOW insider just now. I'm curious to try WOW but it seems more than overwhelming.
p.s. Late night posts rule! Seriously, does no one read Joystiq at night?

I'm reading it. WoW isn't really overwhelming unless you come in when there is something going on. Like this Halloween thing. People help a lot too.

LOL busy playing WoW. :)
Oh and PvP servers ARE annoying if you do decide to enter the lands. 1rst time players should try any server(non PvP) where you cant get killed picking flowers in nuetral/ enemy terriorty...

It's not overwhelming. It's just an illusion. Once you get into it, things start to become less complicated.

I can see where WoW could be intimidating, if you do decide to give it a go, choose one of the less progressed servers at least as a start. That way trade chat won't explode your head.

Skimming through this, makes me want to get back into WoW. But since I'm no longer living with my roommate back in SoCal, really have no access to it (besides doing to myself XD)
*sigh* Hallow's End sounds really fun!
