EA talks Dead Space, Bad Company, Army of Two sequels
19
In a move that isn't likely to shock readers of this website, EA's Frank Gibeau recently told Variety that Electronic Arts is planning sequels to Battlefield: Bad Company, and Army of Two. Dead Space executive producer Glenn Schofield also confirmed that a Dead Space sequel is in the works as well. Dead Space fans will also be happy to hear that Dead Space novels and toys are under consideration. We're hoping to see some Necromorphs with limb popping action. No concrete details on any of the sequels, such as when we might expect them, were given.

Hell yeah, It's all about Dead Space! Still haven't got through the first one yet, but I'm already a big fan of the IP. :)

Hell yeah, that's the way to do it. I would love to do more, except work takes up so much precious gaming time! And now Gears of War 2 is out, and Resistance 2, so time is even MORE limited. But I plan on finishing Dead Space first.

Limb Popping Action?
Funny guy, Richard.
I've come to a dilemma with Dead Space. I rented it over the weekend and have made it to chapter 12 by Monday night but then Fable 2 had to go and come out, all but erasing this truly awesome and horrifying game from my priorities and while I am THIS CLOSE to finishing it, each time I get home from work my hand keeps bringing me back to Fable, with all its fantastical goodness.
So quick. Someone tell be that the ending will knock my socks off. Tell me that despite seeing the betrayal coming a mile away (how long is the Ishumura? Is it possible I saw it from more then a mile?) that the ending will still shock me.
Speaking of sequels, I literally log on every day hoping you will break the news that Jade and crew are "Officially" working on Assassin's Creed 2. Despite some groaning about repetition on the part of many fans, I thought that game was wholly remarkable and the story sucked me straight in. I was hoping against hope that the last level would see Desmond pull up his hoodie and break out of the building with all of the flair of Altaïr but alas, I may have to wait quite a bit longer to see that incredible gameplay and story set itself in the modern (well, future actually) world.

You are so close though. Just another hour of gameplay and you can find out for yourself.

I know, right?
I did it again last night. All the way home, I swore I'd finish it, get it done. I loved the game after all... But then I came through the door and my wife was sitting there, playing Fable and she sweetly signed out, and set it up for me to take over. I gave in and played it. Tonight then... I'll finish it tonight, after dark. I just have to.

It still amuses me just how well Army of Two sold despite how bad it was. I mean, it wasn't a terrible game but its one of EA's new IPs that could have used a lot more work and more content for a game going for $60.
A sequel to a Battlefield game? Who saw that coming? /sarcasm.
Glad Dead Space will be getting a sequel. From everything i've heard from friends, and random forum goers on neogaf it looks like EA really did a good job with that game.

Army of Two had half the game ripped out just to make it half decent.. they could least fixed the partner AI.. since it really struggled on higher difficulties..
BF:BC.. that was terrible.. having to run back for a rocket launcher.. when one of the team had one.. jumping up on top of a tank.. only for it to spin it's turret looking for you..
Both seem to have an obcession for gold...
I haven't got Dead Space yet.. I'm interested in it, and from all I hear from it, I'm not sure if it's EA's hand outs for reviews.. or if they've actually pulled out a good game since Desert Strike on the Mega Drive (imo)..
now what I'd like is for EA to allow Bioware & Microsoft to get making Mass Effect 2.. instead of things like an KotOR mmo (or change it to KotOR 3)..

I am SOOOOO loving Dead Space right now! Defo gonna be up for more of that!!!
BF:BC could be good, Gold Run is a lot of fun! and the single player was really good.
Army of Two, I think I'll pass. The first one really sucked balls.
