Just because you didn't like one release of DLC, doesn't mean Rock Band is better than GH. There have been plenty of weeks (read: more than half) where I don't care about any of the bands being released as DLC.

I don't own GHIII, however, i often check up on GH's DLC.

Broadly speaking - GH is a much more guitar driven game (Def Leppard, Motörhead, dragonforce, metalica, areosmith), where as Rockband offers a MUCH wider variety of 'well-known' music that is fun to play.

I'll take a simple song that i know all the words to like 'all the small things' or 'pretty fly (for a white guy)" over a song from an 80's band that has crazy guitar solos.

GH:WT content doesn't work on GH3??? Another reason RB>GH.

Will you be able to use content the other way around? GH3 content on GH:WT?

Hey, a Guitar Hero post! Great time for all the Rock Band fanboys to come out and profess their undying love for Harmonix! It never gets old! Yay!

Sadly you're right
I already went and downloaded these though, I've always preferred GH over Rock Band, but that's just me.

Did you really just post very similiar comments on the same story at Joystiq and X3F within five minutes of each other?

You must really want to get your point across.

not really sure if I'm going to pick up GH:WT. got burned by how crappy GH3 was.

Anyone know the significant differences between this and Rock Band 2 (besides having some Rock Stars in the game).

Yo, blogging and cataloging all MP3's for purchase on my blog.

Too many dupes. I think most people are going to skip out on all the dupe DLC, since they likely already bought it for RB.

The major difference is the Create a Song feature. Which could lead to new & free DLC 24/7 once people get into it. All your RB instruments will work on GH:WT so you could just buy the game only and still have the full experience as well. If you like RB then there's no reason not to like GH:WT.

I'll take the GH:WT drums over the 'been there, done that' drums of RB.

Except they have already said that "covers" will be taken down immediately. This pretty much kills that...
