Some important info regarding the US Resistance 2 beta

Want to get in on the Resistance 2 action? You'd better be quick! Registration for the open beta in the US closes at 4PM Pacific time today. If you miss it, however, don't be too sad. There'll be other chances to get a key, what with USA Today handing out a load of them, starting on Tuesday. No doubt other media outlets will get their hands on them too.

If you get your hand on a code make sure you use it before 5pm October 29th. At that time the download servers will be turned off. At one minute to midnight on October 30th the gameplay servers will be switched off and the beta will effectively end. After that you'll have only a few days to wait before the full game releases. Maybe you could use the time to replay Resistance 1 in preparation.

I have a beta code and am willing to share. From my understanding every code is good for up to 3 people. So me and my cousin share ours all the time

I'm in, but I can't connect, I always get network errors. But, I've had fun playing with the few options they allow to play with my human and chimeran avatar.

yeah same. i constantly have to reming myself that its a beta. the game is still a day one for me though!

You know what sucks? I pre-ordered this game two weeks ago, Sent the e-mail for my beta code and still haven't got it. What gives!?

I'm sort of pissed since I got the Quore issue and I never got my code.

I received my code last night. I don't even remember when I applied for one. FPS aren't my thing at all and I never played the first Resistance but this game looks very good.

I have the beta and it's really fun, but theres only a few game modes and one co-op level so it gets kinda old but it is really fun. I would defiantly recommend buying the game, especially if your a fan of fall of man

You know a lot of people were saying there was no improvement in gfx compared to Fall of Man, and I'm pleased that those cats were completely wrong. The game looks great, and I really like the XP system. You earn XP just by shooting someone, not necessarily having to kill an opponent.

Just seeing the numbers pop up like crazy is strangely satisfying.

I have an extra code if anyone wants it.

I received my code last night and downloaded it and I have played it for awhile today.

If anything I'm glad I got into the beta because now I know what not to spend my money on in the coming months with all the other games. I have been let down by the multiplayer so far. So back to playing LBP.

The Beta sux its to repetitive and it doesnt feels smooth..Like when your shot it doesnt even feel like your been shot(some rumble would be nice). I was hoping this game was going to be better but i aint excited anymore

I mean the maps are huge which i thought was a good thing but then you run around for a while and you dont even find the enemy....even with all the ppl playing

maybe i didn't spend enough time with it but 64 player death match is pretty freaking lame. oh hey lets all meet on one part of the map and shot randomly at each other.

Got my code yesterday. Played a little bit last night. So far, I've been playing LittleBigPlanet tonight, but the servers are down, so I've just been playing the Story mode.

Anybody else having this issue with the LittleBigPlanet servers?

Everyone is having this, uh, "problem". Since the game doesn't officially drop until the 27th (although Gamestop told me today it goes on sale tomorrow, the 25th), the servers won't be up until the street date.

Those of us that got it early via Toys R Us or whatever are stuck in story/create mode until then.

Oh. Well, the funny part is that I got the phone call from Gamestop telling me it was available today, and that's where I got it. I just kind of figured the servers were up since new copies were trickling out already.

This is one of the revised versions of the game, because I heard the song in question while playing and it had all the lyrics removed.

I haven't played much of competitive yet, but I think I blew an hour on co-op before I even noticed. Having a blast with it!

Not all of us will be getting Resistance 2 on the 4th, i will get it on the 26th of november. Not everyone lives in America you know. They should release it everywhere at once

I was lucky enough to get a notification from PSU.

I understand that its a beta and hope everything is smoothed out for the final version. But, I think I'll rent it first instead of buying it right away.
