LittleBigPlanet now available at GameStop

The headline says it all. Media Molecule's world-designer/platformer, LittleBigPlanet, is now ready and waiting at GameStop stores across the United States. The brick and mortar franchise started making phone calls to pre-orderers, letting them know the game would be available on Saturday, October 25. That means the retail chain is selling them today, yes today. So, before you head off, call your store and make sure they have copies in stock.

It looks like the LittleBigDelay has been diverted, or at least for the United States anyhow. The official release date was originally "week of October 27," which means GameStop patrons have gotten an early treat. We're not sure if any other retailers are getting their copies in, but best give them a call to check.

me too. got mine yesterday afternoon and it's totally groovy! there's so many cool customization options; if only there was a way to make sackboy a cyclops... (my psn id: cyclopean)

I got my copy yesterday... and immediately returned it.

The game is 720p only and my HDTV doesn't do 720p, even though it's only a 3-year-old TV.

Back to Dead Space and Call of Duty 4 for me.

Yeah.. Because it's that big of a deal to miss this game for. You do understand that removing the song with controversial lyrics isn't the only form of censorship going on, right? If you make a huge penis in-game, it can be removed. If you post certain words or phrases here, on PS3Fanboy, it will be censored.

Nipgrip, "controversial lyrics" oh forgot about those copyrighted words, next thing that going to happen: dictionary of words you can speak out loud with noise in the background!! hail to the mighty sackcensor... guess i'm just stupid...

is it unfortunately true that there is censorship in the internet, but i do believe games like carmaggeddon postal and other allow us to think censorship is not the way for everything you don't like, is it? not for 70€ (anyway i might still buy the game i just have the need to ramble so they don't think they can do whatever they want that we'll just eat it and pay

I got mine too. YOu should also mention that the preorder goodies arent available until the 27th it seems. Since the code cant be validated just yet.

Called my Gamestop around me here in Michigan and they have it, gonna go pick it up later...

I can't get the Kratos code to work though. Anyone else had any luck with that?

I actually got the call yesterday and picked mine up last night.

Be aware that since the street date is still Monday, the servers are down. That means no patches, no shared levels, and the Gamestop Kratos codes don't work either.

can anyone confirm picking this up without a pre-order? i know that most people have pre-orders...

I tried all my local gamestops, you need a preorder unfortunately :(

It's only available to those who have the game reserved though.

Got mine today at Gamecrazy in Corpus Christi, TX. But they didn't have the pre-order gifts yet.

The Game Crazy here in Woodinville WA just got theirs in. I'm off to get mine now!

Picked mine up at around 11 am this morning. There's a it more to the levels than was in the Beta. The servers also appear to be down and no, the pre-order codes do not work yet.

I got a call yesterday my preorder was at the local store (which I canceled when I moved, many months ago... GS is really stupid) and an email saying my online pre-order was shipped.

So yeah, this is real.

Just picked it up from Gamestop in NC. Didn't need a pre-order.

where are ya in NC? I called all the ones near my place (Durham), and all deny any "extra" copies for non-preorders.

I got mine from Toys'R'Us last Tuesday..They had 4 copies...I just changed my Gamestop preorder to Guitar Hero World Tour! =)

i called my local gamestop retailer. i also got the sadining news that it'll be available ONLY to people who pre-ordered their copy. :( man that is one SERIOUS tease.

I also got my copy. Got this at gamecrazy.

Best game since Super Mario World, it's pretty amazing to think that the story levels are possible to create with the level editor, the only complaint I have is the jumping which can be annoying in later levels with moving platforms.

Called my local gamestop and they were jerks to me. Told me it doesnt come out until Monday. I told them how Gamestops across the nation are selling the game today and they just said "well we arent"

I hate gamestop. I would go buy it someplace else if I didint already pre-order it from them...

I got mine around 11:00 Am In Southern California/ Inland Empire. I popped it in and played for a bit before work its amazing. The servers are down so im curious to when they will be back? Is there any officail statement by MM?

I'm guessing the servers and codes will work on the 27th, the "official" delayed launch date.

And yes, it's so awesome. So much cool new stuff from what the beta offered and IT was awesome. :D

Still on the fence with this game. I love shooters and action adventure and I'm afraid this game will be boring. WHAT TO DO!?!??!

Just got mine. there is no online for the game yet and the Kratos codes don't work yet either. So off to play the story mode.

And the pre-order DLC codes for the Kratos sackboy DON'T work!!!!! GameStop employees are claiming there will be "something cool" to make up for it.
