There are many writers on the Joystiq payroll who are of the firm opinion that the Wii incarnation of Resident Evil 4 was the best version of the multi-platform title. That's why we were understandably disappointed when it was outed that Resident Evil 5 would not be coming to Nintendo's console -- though according the game's producer, Masachika Kawata, a Wii port of RE5 was never a remote possibility. Due to the game's graphical improvements over the previous installment, "The title screen of this couldn't have been done on PS2 or Wii," Kawata explained in a recent GameTrailers interview.
Nintendo fanboys shouldn't be too disheartened by this somewhat brash claim -- in a later, seperate interview with GameTrailers, Jun Takeuchi, yet another producer for the title, said that Capcom would love to continue the Resident Evil franchise on the Wii, though such a reunion is "a couple of years down the road."

I love how he compared it with the ps2 for the added burn. I'm going to enjoy the fights in this article.

Um, there were no Zombies at all in RE4 or RE5. They were normal people infected with a parasite to make them controllable by one commander (the bad guy). They still toddled around and did normal human stuff, even using weapons and grenades. WTF is with the zombie comments, have any of you played RE4?

You're right, it isn't racist. What's so racist about some guy being attacked by zombies?

"Yeah, those black dudes are only attacking the white guy and not each other" *end sarcasm*
Seriously, WTF. I'm sick and tired of people calling RE5 racist. What's going to happen when these hypersensitive people seeing the black female support-character in the game kill these zombies? What are they going to say then?

The first poster is right, this picture is VERY racist!
How can you not see that? Zombies are constantly being portrayed in a bad light and it's time they were accepted into society!

I'm surprised people are still upset about this. If anything, Capcom is taking an affirmative action approach to this zombie thing. RE4 had Spanish zombies, RE5 has African Zombies, RE6 will probably have Chinese zombies, RE7 you'll be shooting hippies, etc. It's really nothing to make a fuss about.

So that means that in RE6 the Triad will be involved on the plot...?

Well that's that.
Nintendo fanboys really shouldn't bitch about this at all. It's Ninendo's fault for building a system with significantly less power than it's other next gen competitors.
And since I'm a fanboy for both the Wii and the 360 it really doesn't matter.
My advice to Wii only owners...buy a 360. You'll be glad you did.

Not that technology matters. If the core idea behind your game has substance and is well implemented your game will be fun regardless of what technology you use.

So, Mr Khan, you really really don't regret missing some of the best games ever? Really? Because playing only Nintendo consoles is a little weird. There's a lot out there to see.

My tastes are my own, and while the PlayStation, Dreamcast, Xbox, PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360 are all filled with worthy libraries of their own, i am content with what i have.
Few regrets: Fighters Megamix off the Saturn, a lot of Sony's second-party stuff for PlayStation (namely Crash, Spyro, and Ape Escape), as well as KoTOR & Fable off the Xbox, Jak & Daxter off the PS2. Jet Set Radio off the Dreamcast. LBP off the PS3 and Fable 2 off the 360
Not enough to compel me to buy them, though, certainly. Nintendo games have always had a peculiar appeal that made them unique, and few games captured that magic (like the ones i listed), while Nintendo platforms have always had a steady diet of not just Nintendo games, but Nintendo-esque games (like Sonic games, or other games with such charm)

GTA has never particularly appealed to me, though Valve's works certainly have. But i've had bad experiences with trying to make my PC gaming compatible, as my system was always too buggy even when i met the recommended specs, i would just encounter random crashes with whatever i tried

Damn Kahn, i know you're a Nintendo loyalist, but missing out on God of War, Devil May Cry, Final Fantasy VII and X, and Fable is unforgivable. I'm playing through the PC version of FFVII right now, but i originally finished it on PS1. I'm in the same boat, i've never owned a non-nintendo console, but i've played and finished most of the good games on other consoles too.

Don't listen to their propaganda, Senior Khan. I have a 360 and, believe me, the game library is awfully bland. If you're the type that goes for Hollywood codswallop every summer (Iron Man, Indiana Jones) then you may find an interest. But if you prefer something more unique, stylised, then I suggest you stay away from that console.
