Back in September we got word that a European version of Qore would hit sometime in 2009. We now know a few more details regarding the service. Revealed by a Future Publishing job listing, the digizine will be called "Official PlayStation Magazine HD." It's not as original as "Qore," but at least it'll easily find its audience.
The service, as described by the job listing, will be a "new weekly paid-for download delivered direct to PS3 owners via the PlayStation Network Store." It sounds a lot like Qore, except for that "weekly" bit.

Sounds all nice and good but... how big is each Quore download?

1.3 GB really big download and all you get is videos and interviews that you can see on youtube but in HD. And the betas are ok but not worth the money. after that its just space in youre HDD and something you will not view again.

well, that doesn't surprise me since Qore is also run by Future Publishing.
There are many uninformed people out there that actually think that Sony is the one running Qore.

Wait hold on. It actually says Official "UK" Playstation Magazine HD. So how do we know it's going to be available for the rest of Europe. I'm not really bothered because I live in UK but I think some of my European friends might be.

How is Qore pronounced? I really can't see how anyone could say that word.

Well I hope it wouldnt be a weekly 1.3Gb download... there are already a lot of people exceeding their monthly broadband usage limits (I hear iPlayer has been a great money spinner for ISP's who charge for extra data downloads once you've exceeded your limit).
Not sure what you guys in the states think about Qore, does it really justify the expense and time in getting it? Whats it give you that you cant already get on sites like this one... other than cute presenters ;-)

Well, I'm a sucker for any and everything HD, and the videos in Qore look stunning. Though I wish they were in surround sound as well. There's also artwork which, while nice, unfortunately isn't exportable.

Ok. Qore sounded great at first. free access to beta and early demos. a free psn game with annual scription. Heres the deal. early demos like naruto or motorstorm, I erased it after playing each a couple of times. Messy beta codes for RE2 & Socom. I ended up pre ordering them anyway, because they were giving away beta codes with earlier access. aside from the videos included, ala youtube, your basically paying to feed your psn download fever once a week. BTW , Ive been playing RE2 beta for 10 days thanks to pre ordering and Qore still has yet to send me or let me download the beta. You make the call. Hope this helps.

Aw man, I want a weekly Qore. They should break it up and just feature one or two games every week.
