Final Fantasy XIII screenshots, now larger, from TGS Closed Theater

Last week we posted about the latest Final Fantasy XIII scans from Famitsu. The scans weren't of the best quality, but now the Japanese gaming magazine has posted several larger pictures from the article on their website. They feature Lighting, Snow (the blonde guy), Sera (the pigtails girl), as well as the backside of the Sephiroth-esque female possibly-a-villain character participating in some sort of ceremony involving a coffin. Bah, FF lost me since the X, Loved the VII, liked the VIII and IX...
For me, LAST ODISSEY on the 360 was GREAT and better than any last FF ! Too sad it didn't get released on PS3, where it had hugh and deserved success, first in japan, then anywhere where there are peple loving J-RGP à l'ancienne..

pfft, Lost Odessey? Agreed its a good game until you start recollecting memories. Sure they are good stories, but who the fuck wants to sit there and read a tv scrolling text for 20 mins at a time. Other then that though hell yea.

Why would you call any male character Snow?

Japanese for snow is "yuki". A quick wikipedia check reveals that there are both male and female characters in anime called this. That's probably why.
Still, Cloud isn't that great of a name either.

This game looks really nice, i wish they would show us what kind of battle system it uses though. If its the same as 12 i am going to be really hesitant in getting it.

That last picture confirmed it, Square-Enix loves Tron

The pictures are too small and we don't even know if it's in real time. We already know that Square Enix make great CG cut scenes, I wanna see how much they can push the PS3 hardware.

What are you talking about. There are way more in-engine graphics pictures released for FF XIII than there are for FF Versus XIII. SO far, almost everything shown for Versus has been pre-rendered. And more and more pics of FF XIII are showing actual polygonal rendering.

I was referencing the part where he said he wanted to see how Squeenix could push the power of the PS3. FFXIII is now a mult-platform game, and most likely won't push the boundaries the same way an exclusive game, like Versus XIII will. The in-engine shots released from Vs XIII already look better than XIII.

And as far a multi-platform goes, I call bullcrap on your comment.
S-E explicitly mentioned many times now, that the game is still being optimized for the PS3 hardware. Either your being fanboyish without bounds (oh crap, the game will be lame because it's not exclusive anymore), or just ignorant.

I am being neither, actually.

I'm implying that, so far, the multi-platform games don't look as good as the exclusives. Uncharted is still one of, if not the, best looking game on the console. That is the measuring stick that I personally use to judge other games.

Do I think XIII will be a lesser game because it's on the the 360? Hell no!

Do I personally think VsXIII will be the better looking game? From what I've seen so far, yes.

Do I have to brainwash myself with anime to like these characters?

TROPHY SUPPORT FOR THIS GAME? ANYBODY KNOW?

By the time this game come out in Europe and NA , every game will have trophies . and the Xbox 720 will be out .
