*beep*beep*beep* This just in Microsoft has made what we already knew official: Penny Arcade Adventures: On the Rain-Slick Precipice of Darkness, Episode Two will debut on the Xbox Live Arcade this Wednesday. Arriving at 1200MS Points -- a few dollars cheaper than the original for those keeping score at home -- the second chapter continues the story of Gabe, Tycho and the revenge-seeking hero, You.
To recap, this Wednesday will ask Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader with Jeff Foxworthy -- of all people -- provide Marble Blast Ultra DLC and a new achievement and now the sequel to the popular adventure title from HotHead Games. That is an expensive day to be an Arcade fanatic.

Funny enough is that Penny Arcade were for a long time publicly outraged at the pricing on most arcade games then release two of the most expensive arcade games to date. I wonder why no one calls them out on this. I for one won't buy the Penny Arcade games based on principle.

Retail games are flying in through the season meanwhile arcade games are coming out double the price.

I wonder how this episode of Penny Arcade's RPG will sell compared to the first. I bought episode one immediately because I love the web comic, but it was just absolutely horrible. I couldn't believe how convoluted the real time turn based combat was, and I didn't even have patience for the writing. Maybe I was in a bad mood? I don't know, but I'm curious to find out if a lot of other people gave up on this series after the first outing.

You and I had entirely different experiences with the first game I think. I really got a kick out of the game and have eagerly been awaiting the second installment.... however their timing couldn't be worse! With all the great titles that have come out and are coming out over the next few weeks, I probably won't have a chance to get to episode 2 until episode 3 is trotted out to XBLA...

I went to PAX this year, so I bought the first episode because I almost felt I had to. Sadly, I have yet to even play it. :-) I played the demo and liked it, but never went any further.
So, I can't buy the second one until I finish the first. Whenever that may be.

On the contrary. That's 2400 MSP saved, since I'm not going to buy any of that overpriced crap.

I did get Ep1 , it was good , but not 1200pts good, I think 800 would have been more on par imo.
I dont think i'll be getting Ep2 anytime soon ...
