Who doesn't love Earthworm Jim, this week's Virtual Console release? People without souls and taste, that's who! It's a great mix of platforming and action segments, wonderful minigames, and tense boss fights that come together and form one amazing product. an earthworm in a robotic suit? Can't beat that!
Each week, we here at Wii Fanboy like to check out the latest Virtual Console releases in our VC Monday Madness feature, in the hopes that you can make the most sound decision possible regarding purchasing retro titles from the Wii Shop Channel. If you're looking for more retro goodness, check out Virtually Overlooked, which talks about games that should be on the Virtual Console.
I have this game. There is nothing wrong with the sound... Stop taking the site's name literally.
This game has an extra level, too. That is why they used this version instead of the SNES one. Really though, they should have the SEGA CD version up, it has CD music and a bunch of new stuff.
Damn you submarine level, I really hated that level. I will be buying this very soon. Now if we can just get Tin Star on VC with some IR shooting that would be heaven.
Hinkle is totally right, man. The Genesis has poorer sound quality and sampling, it's like a known thing. Anyways, great Monday Dave its good to hear your voice again! lol
Shame on you, David. You didn't include any clips from the amazingly funny Saturday morning TV show of Earthworm Jim that aired...a long time ago (hence why it was good and also on Saturday morning). I mean this VC Monday Madness was a little on the short side...and clips are all over Youtube...
