Fable II glitch fix completed, missing DLC codes resolved later today

Good news and bad news. Good first, that Fable II "Abbot Quest Glitch" that borked your save game of the recently released Lionhead RPG has been completed! Bad news, Lionhead doesn't know when the patch will be released to players. Lionhead community manager Sam Van Tilburgh confirmed [via Kotaku] the team has been hard at work fixing a number of issues players have revealed on the official Fable II message boards and promises the biggest issues -- such as the Abbot Quest -- have been resolved.

Van Tilburgh has also confirmed the problem with missing DLC codes for special in-game content, which was included in the Fable II Collector's Edition will be resolved sometime today but was scare on details. As an apology to gamers who have been hit with either issue, Lionhead will post redemption codes for Fable II Pub Games on its blog so players can download the XBLA title for free.

Kind of a strange way to distribute the codes, sure. But free is free. Unless you already bought it. Or got it for free from pre-ordering. Hey, imagine you pre-ordered the Collector's Edition? That's like getting slapped twice, just saying.

I actually got a second patch in the game last night... is that this one or another?

The free code for Pub Games is one way to get around the achievement issue. Apparently, 1 of the achievements for Fable II requires Pub Games, which is a no-no by Microsoft's rules.

Considering Microsoft owns Lionhead, they basically have the right to break the rule.

Wait, they are only giving out 5 codes a day? so only 5 people a day will be able to redeem the free pub games? That sounds pretty ridiculous as an apology.

Fable 2 gets fixed in a matter of days and a Castle Crashers is still pending with no date in sight. Kinda takes away their excuse that it takes a lot of time and testing to patch games.

Well at least they have solved the issue....right?

I just started to play Fable II

Question: Do you get a chance to go back to the Town Center after your wish (to go inside the castle) comes true? I need that chicken kicking achievement.

This is crap! They posted the sollution, basically anyone with a Windows Live ID and Fable 2 (LCE or not) can get the DLC Cards!!
I paid 10 bucks for something everyone else gets for free.
Oh and about the 2 slaps in the face, feels more like a kick in the nuts!!

I preordered LCE to get Free Pub Games (It's given out free now).
LCE content is reduced.
LCE content is now given free.

So I paid $10 for nothing? MS/Lionhead dropped the ball on this far beyond my tolerable limit. They need to do something to LCE owners, or I pray the pirates just cut away at their sales.

Good thing they haven't maxed out their strength or that might have killed you.

That just made me laugh when I read that in game.
Some other truly classic things were in the game they justified putting the same voice over for a couple of NPCs by stating that some one in Albion had done a study and found out that a lot of the people sound the same.
That is really funny.

I should get a free copy of Fable 2 for being dooped into buying Black & White and the sequel. I guess something finally had to stick to the wall. He's flung enough.

The pub game thing is kind of weak. I didn't preorder the game, and I'm not going to buy the pub games... I don't even play them in Fable 2. However, I would like to be able to get the rest of my cheevos.

well if ya ask me, peter molyneux has some deep-rooted problems that date back to his early childhood.

when taken into account, this explains 98% of the problems encountered in fable 2.

the other 2% is still unaccounted for, thus he has no excuse to give away free pub games to 2% of us while the other 98% of us have to suffer and merely play the games in fable 2...

that gamemaster freaks me out :-( reminds me of the leprechaun...

How about the middle finger patch???
IT said I now have the middle finger expression when I was talkinig to the commadant in the tattered spire but when I checked my expressions it wasn't there??? I have played it for hours after that and it still never showed up. Now how the hell am I going to open the demon door that wants you to do all the expressions???

You only get it temporally, you then can buy it from the bookshop in Bowerstone.

my problem is i entered my dlc code after i opened the chest so now I can't get my armor.

I had to comment, Fable 2 is great have not had any problem, and fully enjoying it!, a must buy!!

So what MS is telling me is that now everyone can have, for free, what i paid $10 extra for? Oh and now that i entered my name i still have to wait 10 business days to get the code sent to my email!!!!!!

hey peeps and fable 2 creators!!!wanted to stop by to present you,with yet.....another glitch. this one is from completing the crucible 4x beating each record. my last win had given me another (chest). i was surprised,cause i'd already won the chopper. so i searched it, but it instead portaled me out to the entrance.this is where it gets good.................................i'm unable to move at all,i can access the items and look around but i can't move,or pick up orbs, the sad thing was that i was at the crucible to make money w/gold aug. and weapon, i was going to buy the fair f. castle to complete the gargoyles (have 49) . then that glitch happened and i can't move.........that blows.
