This third episode starts with Strong Bad heading into his room to spend some quality time with Senor Fun Machine (AKA his Videlectrix console). In booting up Limozeen's Hot Babelian Odyssey (the first of many, many awesome Limozeen references), sparks fly from the console and Strong Bad realizes he's got to get the thing fixed. The only person in town who can do it? Bubs.
I won't go any further into the story, but if you've played the first two episodes, then you know the score. Items aren't what they appear (using Jalapeno cheddar cheese spray for graffiti? Only in the Homestar Runner universe) and it's basically one big goofy and comical time. Like the previous two episodes.
What set it over the top for me, personally, is all of the Limozeen references. And Strong Bad's awesome album art he drew when he was 8 years old. And Strong Sad as a pretentious rock journalist. It all came together to be what I think is the most appealing episode in the series to date.
By now, you should know this is a point-and-click adventure game. Either you love the Homestar Runner universe enough to overlook your distaste for that genre of games, or you don't find any problems with the point-and-click style. If you actually invest the time and get into Strong Bad's adventures, you'll find yourself laughing at the antics of him and those around him, wondering where the time went when you finish an episode and crave more. This is another great episode from Telltale Games, one which solidifies this series as "must-have" for myself. Catch up with Strong Bad and the gang if you haven't played any of the episodes until now. You won't be disappointed.
Final score: 9/10
