34
We woke up this morning and thought, "Wouldn't it be nice if we could build some kind of flying car?" As though they read our minds, Microsoft has released a demo for Banjo Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts on the Xbox Live Marketplace. Clocking in at a hefty 1.07GB the demo allows gamers to play with the unique vehicle creation system that is the basis for many of the challenges in the upcoming platformer. Looking to flex your creative muscle? Hit the Marketplace and download the demo now. Banjo Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts ships on November 11, exclusively on the Xbox 360.

I woke up thinking "Wouldn't it be nice if my Fallout 3 copy had been sent?" sadly, i was in the same boat as you. On the bright side, this and Tomb Raider Underworld are fantastic demos.

I seriously will never get the whole, "better go bash another platform's library" thing.
Some people like Xbox and some like the PS3. Many like both.
Deal.

Wow...I agree with Xav...why waste your time man? Banjo looks great, but will it be as good as it looks? Idk, but I'll know tomorrow night when I can play the demo. Considering you build ships and fly/race vs. what I was actually expecting I really don't know if it will be that great, but I have heard good things about this though and will keep an open mind....

For the record, I HIGHLY doubt this is the "Xbox 360 answer to LBP" (Little Big Planet for the lazy ass PS3 fanboy) as this is a RARE game (remember a company called Nintendo??) through and through. It is not only a good game for the Xbox 360 but it is a VERY WELCOME sign to see Rare back (I have to admit that I liked Kameo but NOT Perfect Dark Zero).
And I gotta tell ya buddy, I, for one, am NOT jumping on the Little Big Planet bandwagon like most game "critics" simply because while I think it's a great game, it's not for ME. "Innovative"... "moves the industry forward"... f**k that, just give me F-U-N, that's ALL I want from my VIDEO GAMES (or, interactive entertainment!!!, NOW your playing WITH POWER!)

I woke up this morning and thought, " Wouldn't it be nice to have a scantily clad Lara Croft driving a flying car?" Alas, it hasn't happened yet!

This is awesome! I loved the original game... but the video's of the new game don't impress me (well... except graphically). I'm excited to try this out on my new TV!

Hmm... if you were not such a Sony fanboy you would know that Banjo has been around since the N64 days... So I assume, according to you, LBP is the answer to Banjo???

What do both titles have in common? Cute characters? But there are cute characters on other games, too though, right? It depends on what side of the fence you are on and if you happen to be on 360 then yes LBP is "the answer" to Banjo, vice versa for the PS3.
Honestly, a much much better example would be Resistance 2 & GoW 2.....those are both directly against each other....hints their release dates.....

Yes it is if your local Gamestop still has them. I am pretty sure you have to preorder at GameStop to get this deal.

I wish more people actually put up useful comments. I'd like to get some demo impressions, not dimwit improv.
I really don't give a shit if you're downloading this now or playing it after work ... quit wasting my time.

I loved the demo. It's nice that it is fairly large and open, allowing you to play for quite a long time before running out of stuff to do. I think Rare is onto something with the vehicle builder too. I was surprised at just how much fun it was to build countless different contraptions. Overall, I'm glad I have this one on pre-order.

I just bought Fallout 3 today, and it is great, but I still had to take a few hours out to design some hilarious and nonsensical vehicles in the BK demo with my brother. This was an awesome demo (so was the Tomb Raider demo, BTW) I think I'm finally convinced, this is worth picking up.

I did not like this demo. The intro rambles on for about 10 minutes telling you how to use everything, blah blah blah. It was slow and I lost patience. The control was clunky and the concept is arbitrary, just like everything else, but not that special.
Disclaimer, most games don't impress me anymore. I did like the Tomb Raider demo, and the Endwar demo was cool, but I don't know if I'd play the game for very long. I have a pile of games I bought and played for an hour or two.
