I don't get it. Why bother doing this with the Wii at all when it can't even handle the two minute video clips featured within the Nintendo channel without stuttering every 10-15 seconds. (And this is over a 15Mbit/sec connection...) I can't imagine tolerating that with a full 20+ minute video.

Maybe Nintendo's giving us more of the DSi treatment via the Wii here in the states...

Maybe the reason you have to pay for it is because now it CAN handle videos longer than 20+ minutes. *shrugs?*

I used to have the buffering problem, but when we got a new router the Wii's connection to the internet has been fine; no more lame buffering on the Nintendo Channel videos or random disconnects from the Shop Channel.

Sounds like you are having wifi problems? I don't get much of a signal where my TV is so I ran an ethernet line to it. No stuttering problems at all.

I get a good speed off of my old Linksys router, but the odd thing is that Nintendo WiFiConnection has molded my router to its needs. My laptop can't access it, my roommate's 360 can't access it, only my Wii & DS can connect through that router now

You obviously are getting a very weak Wi-Fi signal. It doesn't matter how fast your Internet is if your Wi-Fi signal is weak. Videos should stream almost instantly, without any kind of stuttering on even a decent signal.

If they include Tensai! Shimura Doubutsuen I will totally buy this, because I love Pan-kun and James but damn if I'm ever home at 9PM on a Saturday.
