Reminder: Find out if you get NXE preview access [update]

Update: Major Nelson just informed us that the NXE notification emails are being sent out over the next few hours. Good luck, fanboys!

Today is the day that separates the men from the women, the hardcore from the casual and the l33t from the n00b. Today is the day we find out who was accepted and who was denied New Xbox Experience preview access.

Sometime in the next twelve hours, Microsoft will be emailing those who were accepted into the NXE preview program which will ultimately give access to the NXE prior to its November 19th launch. NXE access as early as next week. So, for those of you who were able to fill out the survey and sign up, cross your gaming fingers and obsessively check your inbox, because NXE preview notification emails are being sent out today!

This isn't directed just to you JohnWayne but to everyone who wants access to the NXE.

Why so excited? It's just a new menu system. I'm fine with the old blade system, but I wouldn't really care either if they changed it. Not only is it just a new menu system, but why are you guys so excited about getting to use it a little bit before everyone else? It's just a new menu system.

I don't really care about the new cosmetic changes. I'm more interested in the party chat support and the install games to hardrive option so I don't have to listen to my 360 making noises like it's trying to digest my games disc every time I put it in plus other feutures I can't be bothered to write. It's not "just" a new menu system. That's why I'm excited.

I'm hoping to see that email sometime today!

I didn't even get a chance to sign-up! Registration was full. i FAILED.

If i dont get in ms is gonna have to pay a hefty reward for those who will have to find me after i run away because i didnt get the nxe.

I only wonder what will happen when you get a other xbox360 from the microsoft repair centre with a totally different console id number then the old one. I just hope it will work else I didn't had to sign myself up for this preview.

I'm pretty confident. I have Netflix, High Speed College internet, run video and music to my 360 from my computer, and play over 30 hours a week.

I'm guessing they jumped at mine.

Hey everyone.

When you do find out if you got in or not, post here with some of your info. For example, if you have Netflix, what kind of internet you have, if you're a gold member, etc. So we can see how they made their decision.

He already said that gold members will get higher priority, but I'm guessing people who are netflix subscribers will also get a little higher priority just so they can help work out some of the bugs. Anyways, just a thought.

it doesnt work like that they aske those questions so they could get a wide range of people with diffrnet set ups, not ones that are all the same

i have read somewere that the netflix part wont be on the previe along with stuff like that 100v1 thing, hope i get in

I think netflix will be working but not the part where you watch with a friend over live.

Majorn Nelson CONFIRMED that netflix will work in his podcast. This is fully functional its not half of what will come out on the 19th its EVERYTHING. So come the 19th you weill not get anything changed if hyou get accepted into the program.

Wouldn't you just be able to turn on your 360 and get notified of there being a dash update too?

Why do you need to hang on the email? Unless there's some sort of activation code in there.
