Reminder: Find out if you get NXE preview access [update]

Update: Major Nelson just informed us that the NXE notification emails are being sent out over the next few hours. Good luck, fanboys!

Today is the day that separates the men from the women, the hardcore from the casual and the l33t from the n00b. Today is the day we find out who was accepted and who was denied New Xbox Experience preview access.

Sometime in the next twelve hours, Microsoft will be emailing those who were accepted into the NXE preview program which will ultimately give access to the NXE prior to its November 19th launch. NXE access as early as next week. So, for those of you who were able to fill out the survey and sign up, cross your gaming fingers and obsessively check your inbox, because NXE preview notification emails are being sent out today!

well i am hoping they allow everyone to get in sense they kind of stopped the survey sign up maybe that's when it filled up hopefully not just get picked cause I know i will not get it then!

Major just said on his site that if you email him asking for an invite he'll send you one.

Yeah, it would be good if they let everyone in who applied. But I doubt it.

yah I know but optimism always helps the people who don't get the specific thing they wanted! I also do want to know how long (how long they're sending them out) and how many emails are being sent out

I wonder when the actual update will come because nxe won't be available right when you get the email.

According to Major's blog it's "later this week".

Since the first post, I'd been so amused by all the people *desperate* to get in - as if their life depended on it. Tonight I had expected this post to be full of "I got mine" messages. I'd read them and roll my eyes - "Haha... of course we all got in." I had thought most people would get in, including me. Mother-Farker! I'm sad now.

I, too, figured to get in. I've been unusually lucky when it comes to many things 360.

I feel you bro. I never get turned down from anything. I got accepted into the cod4 and 5 betas and the endwar beta. It sucks not getting that email for the preview. But maybe it will come later.

I got the mail. Still no prompt for update. I guess it won't happen before the 1st of November.

Maybe there are so many emails being sent out...haha...ohwell. I did get to Beta Test Live back in 2002 was it? COD4 and Shadowrun...so that's all well and good.

It would have been cool to get this early, I can wait a few weeks though, I don't even have time to play Fallout 3, so not having a dashboard will kill me...

I got in, now its only the wait untill November 1th :D
