You might want to look again. We covered both of those things. There are nine videos here you know.

So Microsoft is a little late to the party, no worries. Reinvention is the only way to improve upon an already solid idea/product. Can you image, 40 years later, we'd still be playing Odysseys and every game title would end in exclamation points!

It looks very slick and easy on the eyes. My only question is the usability of the new interface. I thought the old XBL marketplace was awful and nearly impossible to find what I was looking for. Everything else was fine it was just the marketplace that was real real bad. All I want is something that works - this looks like that and then some. Obviously I will have to use it before I can make a final judgement but so far so good.

How many people can be in a party at a time? Is it limited to four? I know that for gatherings where not everyone could make it the private chat features would be really nice. Is there/will there ever be support for 4+ people?

Yes. This update will add support for 8 people to 'party' up together. They will all be in a 'private chat' together and can move from game to game to game (just like the current private chat) and still all be connected together in one giant 'party'.
Also, any games that support parties of 8 people will automatically group you together in multiplayer lobbies for easy gaming.
More about this feature was discussed on majornelson.com

GREAT POST!!!

One question are you able still to hold down the 'Guide' button for 4 seconds and push up twice to shut the console off?? I see it's in the guide menu now, but I like to be able to turn it off when one of our shows come on. ;)

That all looks fantastic. The funny thing is that I think Microsoft could have gotten away with charging for this, yet won't. That's awesome.

And, dear God, it's "lie-brear-ee", not "lie-berry." My 1st grader knows the difference.
