Producer Peter Dassenko, who's handling the upcoming Alien Crush Returns for Wiiware, spoke with theBBPS.com about the title and Hudson as a whole. As pumped as we are for Alien Crush Returns, it's not the only interesting thing about the interview. Dassenko pretty much confirms that we will see updates to other Hudson titles hit WiiWare, much like Star Soldier R and, of course, Alien Crush Returns.
"The special thing about Hudson is that we really do listen to what our fans want," Dassenko said. "We know there are a ton of fans out there demanding remakes or completely new versions of our more popular brands like Military Madness, Adventure Island, Bonk, and more," continuing on to say that he's "sure we'll see other series making the leap to current-gen soon enough." Sounds good to us!

"completely new versions" sounds fine but I would strongly suggest against "remakes." Leave the old stuff on VC, keep WiiWare fresh.
Megaman 9 is ok because they put so much effort into designing a new game that just looks and feels old. It's not a remake, it's 9.
Maybe that's a good Wii Warm Up question: Is there anything on WiiWare that could be considered just a remake and should have been shot down by Nintendo?

I'd buy a Star Parodier remake. Though, I did say the same of Star Parodier - I really need to get that.

I'd love to see what they could do with a Bonk sequel, preferably for $10 on Wiiware.

i second that, screw a remake of that wonder boy ripoff adventure island.. wonder boy evolved into something amazing while the adventure island games were stuck copying the old boring formula.
but yeah.. whatever happened to red entertainment? if theyre still around, hudson needs to get them to make a new bonk pronto. shoot, id even settle for the gamecube/ps2 remake on wiiware since we never got it in north america.

A new Wiiware Excitebike would rock too. Something simple, but fun. Use the IR pointer for track creations.

Although, I should note that Hudson merely did the port for Excitebike, along with a couple of other games for a Japan-only console.

And when is Alien Crush Returns finally going to appear on WW here in the USA? We get an Art Style game a week now instead, sigh.
