Wait a second, what kind of checklist is that? We'd have blown some of that coin on important things, like crates of ammo, health kits, and totally convincing military surplus garb for just the right veneer of wholesome veteran mixed with fringe survivalist.

Wasn't someone whining the other day about people calling the zombies in this game zombies? The ad says that they are zombies.

If it walks like a zombie, if it talks like a zombie, if it eats people like a zombie..it's a zombie.

HAHA here is Anticrawl's post!
"What does zombies have anything to do with this game? You fight the infected in this game, you can tell they aren't zombies because they run."

The idea of Romero's walking zombies is that they represent a slow, oncoming force; an unstoppable wall of fate.
Of course, running zombies are fine too since L4D wouldn't be very fun without them. I bet someone still makes a 'realistic zombie' mod though..

It's weird, but I have a five or ten minute commute to work to Redmond, WA, and there are TWO billboards for this within 200 feet. They're those rotating kinds, but still, every once in a while double the left 4 dead billboards...

I'm guessing that's because Valve are based in Bellevue, Washington.

Indeed, great ad. You know whats a horrible commercial for a sweet new game? Resistance 2. Man those commercials are turrible, just plain turrible, as Sir Chuck would say.

Agreed. It's to the point, stylish, and tells you everything you need to know about the game if you didn't know it already. It's also not annoying, something way to many ads are these days.

I would like to know this as well, 4 player co-op is cool, but I would much rather have 2 player local.

Okay, 1-2 splitscreen local, 2-4 versus by system link, and up to 4v4 over XBL? Yes?

Sigh...
I know they limit local co-op to 2 so that the screen isn't all mashed up, but seriously, some people have nice large TVs/projectors and playing 4 people on one screen is not a problem. Hell, breaking up my 110" screen into 4 people is bigger than most people would get playing single player.

Is this just a web ad or really being shown on TV? Call me impressed if they're using the thumb-bitten-off logo on broadcast TV.

Ever watch an episode of Supernatural? Or Bones? The logo is pretty tame after some of the stuff I've seen on those.

I can't believe Valve is spending 10 million dollars to advertise a FOUR HOUR GAME. I admit I love all of Valve's other games and I'm sure this will be fun too, but there is no way in hell I'm paying $60 for FOUR hours of gaming. Claiming it has replayability is bullshit. I canceled my preorder as soon as I found this out. SCREW YOU VALVE.

Yes, I mean come on, 4 player coop and versus multiplayer has NOTHING to do with replayability.

Hey retard, I've read EVERY review that has been out about this game -- that is how I know the game is only about 4 hours long. I even said in my comment that I'm sure the game will be fun. I'm just not paying full price for half a game (if that). How about working on your reading comprehension before you talk smack?

So you've read 0 reviews then? Since, you know, the game doesn't come out for almost 3 weeks....

Hey it was the other douche (aside from yourself) that started talking about 'reviews', I merely responded at a level of ignorance he could understand.
Oh and you don't have to worry, I wouldn't waste my time playing a game with some star wars loser like yourself, so fuck off!

But they DON'T walk like a zombie, they run, climb, and jump. They DON'T talk like a zombie, zombies grunt and moan, these guys scream and yell. And finally they DON'T eat people like zombies. They punch, kick, and claw at you.
So....maybe they're not exactly zombies then? Zombie-like sure, but not zombies.
