PS3 Home beta only for Qore subscribers

Remember when Sony said that those who purchased Episode 6 of Qore would get entrance into the Home beta? Well, that's not exactly the case, by which we mean not the case at all. According to several disgruntled tipsters, the beta invites will apparently only be sent to year-long subscribers who signed up before Oct. 29, as opposed to those just buying episode 6.

That ... well, we don't have any witty analysis here -- it's just wack. If our new user-friendly interface was about to be beaten to the punch by the other guy's new user-friendly interface, we'd probably let anybody in who wanted in. But that's just us.

Wow, home isnt out yet?

Is Sony even capable of saying anything about Home's release that's accurate? Every single announcement about Home that I've seen from Sony has has some major element that has turned out to be false.

I am a Qore annual subscriber and have downloaded and installed the November Qore episode 6 and there is nothing in this episode that even gives a hint that annual subscribers (or anyone else for that matter) will be able to get the Home beta.

One of the main reasons I bought a PS3 when I did was because Sony was saying Home was going to be released by the end of that year.

Now it is almost 2 years later and still no Home. Come on guys, no matter how complex the project it just shouldn't take that much longer to complete than the original projection... unless the info was just hype released by marketing to seel more PS3s.

I'm in the same boat as Ken. I didn't get am invite even though I'm an annual subscriber. What's the deal? I'm surprised that more people aren't talking about it. My expectations are pretty low,, but I still want what I'm entitled to even if it sucks.
