I would be suprised if this isn't stopped. Even public figures like Obama and Palin can not be used for commercial advertisement without their consent and turning them into DLC like this can hardly be described as anything as using the likeness for commercial purposes.

If you had McCain, you would repeatedly crash and get captured.

(I'm English, and some words mean different things here, then they do in the US. For example, in America "war hero" means "shit pilot")

wow. way to be a douche. McCain got hit by a SAM, likely unavoidable once the missile was launched, how does that reflect his piloting ability?

to endure for his nation while in captivity was heroic, but getting stuck there in the first place obviously wasn't

Unless he did so as some sort of on-field sacrifice.

I'm fairly sure he's referring to the two or three times before that he crashed his plane.

No I'm tired of this Mccain bullshit! McCain graduated almost bottom of his class. He was 790th out of 795. He lost 5 planes whether he crashed them or not, He was TERRIBLE in the military. The only reason he didn't get kicked out was due to his fathers, and grandfathers, long legitimate war record.

790 out of 795 ? damn that's ridiculous.

I'm sorry i must be mistaken then, in the belief that my Handicapped cat, would have made a better soldier than John McCain.

On another note I'm sick and tired of the Dynamic Duo calling themselves Mavericks, the term "Mavericks" in a political sense, was more or less invented by a family of Liberals in Texas, who throughout their trials as politicians always put Human rights and Science, and education first. Seems to me like the opposite of the McCain camp, but alas, maybe I have just eaten to many shrooms today.

Nice job Attacking me Asshole. I wasn't attacking you or anyone else in the military, I know full well that I wouldn't be cut for the military, its not my bag baby, then again I do have several buddy's who chose the military route and I fear for their safe return all the time. Last time I checked we weren't in Afghan hunting down those "terrorists" but rather in Iraq getting ourselves killed for no good reason.

I have nothing but utmost respect for people who, knowing full and well what they are up against, go join the military anyways. I was just pointing out the FACT that john McCain was a terrible soldier compared to his peers. No bullshit, just the facts.

Sorry if I offended you but don't attack me for pointing something like that out.

Actually John, there was plenty of intelligence available indicating that there were no WMD's, but the Bush Administration actively ignored it all in search of the most tenuous evidence available that supported their claims. (While the Democrats were not vigorous enough in their search of evidence beyond what Bush was letting them see and were so scared of being labled anti-American in the lead up to war.)

You are entitled to your opinion, but you can not re-write history... well, you can, but it makes you a liar or at least appear ignorant of the facts.

Make all of the excuses that you want, but the Iraqis didn't invite us, they want us out and it's their country (period). "Staying the Course" hasn't worked for more than 5 years. I think that "stategic redeployment" is at least worth a try...

“Victory means exit strategy, and it’s important for the president to explain to us what the exit strategy is.”

“I think it’s also important for the president to lay out a timetable as to how long they will be involved and when they will be withdrawn.”

Who made those quotes? George Bush in 2000 and 1999, respectively.

No, they were cowed by the fear of the backlash from "patriotic americans" if they actually pointed out the idiotic course the US was on.

Doesn't make them right... but doesn't make you right either..

John,

Why call me an "asshole" for pointing out the facts that you couldn't refute with no matter how many quotes you think you found. It just shows me further that you really are insecure in your grasp of the facts as they truly exist.

Look up the Downing Street Memo. The Bush Administration was fixing the intelligence around their policy.

I never said they were cowed by Bush... that was your own straw man. The majority of those statements were made after 9/11 in a Uber Patriotic Nationalistic atomosphere. Maybe you are too young to remember it clearly. I fault them for not being as vigilant as I was with the simple use of the internet to see how faulty that intelligence was. Anyone could have known this stuff if they just bothered to look. It was widely reported, but ignored by decision makers.

As far as "slam dunk" goes, that was George Tenet. No Google search necessary. He failed Bush so miserably that Bush gave him a Medal of Freedom... yeah, right.

Not every country in the world thought he had weapons. That is a lie. Not even every agency in the US did. At first I thought you were ignorant and tried to give you the benefit of the doubt, but now I see that you are just a liar... or is that "asshole"?

Just a start for anyone else open to the facts:

http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/world/us_and_americas/article4466512.ece

http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2006/04/21/60minutes/main1527749.shtml

btw, Gore would have won if all of those people with names similar to felons weren't purged by Katherine Harris, and if the ballots weren't unclear leading to Gore votes going to Pat Buchanon... once again... do some fact-checking before you post your non-sense. Just about everything you say is a lie and it would be funny if it weren't for the people here who don't know any better wanting to believe you.

You really should be ashamed of yourself.

"that doesn't change the fact that he wasn't the only one who knew the truth and was just fooling everyone else about it."

After reading this line again, it appears that we agree that Bush lied about the intelligence, so that doesn't really allign with the rest of your argument that he didn't know any better. The difference between us (I can only guess, since you're contradicting yourself in such an epic manner) is that you think it's okay for him to lie since Democrats did too. Typical...

How's your "spiritual crisis" coming along? There really must be some major cognitive dissonance going on in that brain of yours.

You ironically say that I (or whoever you were talking to) need the facts before I can be taken seriously, but I'd like to offer some advice that you try not to argue with yourself in public to be taken seriously. Really... just, wow.
