SEGA's been my top 3rd party since they became a 3rd party and started putting a lot of great stuff on Nintendo platforms. This is nothing new for me

Keep up the good work!

I'd like to see Sega promoting the Quantum 3 engine as much as The Conduit. I hope they will use it in many new projects.

I would love to see Atari license this engine because it would have worked a treat with Alone in the Dark: Wii. The lame sewer water effects still make me cry at night lolz.

Sega has had some hits and misses over recent years, but in all honesty, I'm not sure how many of those are from "in-house" development or from other developers.

So far as I can tell, High Voltage has a good shooter in their hands and needs some marketing muscle, and if any company (besides Nintendo) can pull that off, it's probably Sega. I think they can do it!

Hopefully. Sega tends to be good about marketing their games, so that's a plus.

Sega is better than most about promotion, but agreeabley...they do alot of hit and miss software. While I'm not exactly excited about the art direction and story of The Conduit, I am looking forward to a fun FPS with (hopefully) good on-line components. The engine seems to be the best part of this game.

considering sega was my favorite first party back in the day.. they should be my favorite third party.. but since theyve started to focus on the west.. 99% of their games have been garbage to me (golden axe beast rider, viking battle for asgard, the club, both condemned games - yeah i didnt like them, and their licensed games like iron man, hulk, and golden compass)... this is the first time ive taken notice of a sega game that was made by a western studio.

sega as a developer is still decent.. but the biggest problem is that they rarely develop their own games anymore. besides sonic, only virtua fighter and mario and sonic at the olympic games come to mind.

as it stands though, capcom is so far the best wii supporter in my book. resident evil 4, resident evil umbrella chronicles, okami, and the excellent.. overlooked zack and wiki are all top games for the wii. in the next year, im looking forward to monster hunter 3, tatsunoko vs capcom (import!), and ill wait and see on dead rising.. at least they tried. besides street fighter IV, capcoms wii games have me more excited than 360 and ps3. all they need now is power stone 3, and a capcom vs snk 3 on the tatsunoko engine with characters from street fighter IV and king of fighters XII/battle coliseum.. thatd be nice.

I hope they do. Sega is my personal favourite developer, and usually the games they publish are very good too (Sonic Team's Sonic games notwithstanding). Other than Nintendo and Square-Enix/Soft, theirs is the first logo I look for on a games box if I've not heard of it before.

To be honest, it seems nintendo frontloaded their "hardcore" titles. Metroid, Mario, and Zelda all came out and all were very high quality and original games. All three of them were impressive. Then things started to slow down. We got warioland and mario kart, and that's good, but I think third parties are needed too. They're good games but they didn't blow me away. Wii Fit is a good game and I have it, but it's not the same type of game. And Smash Brothers and Animal Crossing just aren't my type of games. I'm just unlucky.

But if you are getting bored with first party titles, I highly suggest you check out what Sega is doing. I just started to appreciate sonic and the secret rings as the first truly good 3D sonic. And I support them bringing back house of the dead soon. And now the Conduit. Apparently the mario + sonic at the Olympic games sold well. It's odd that Sega now may end up being one of Nintendo's greatest friends, because Nintendo made a very arcade-friendly controller, and Sega has its roots in the Arcade industry, not the PC industry.

I think Capcom and Sega will help out Nintendo, and buy it some time, while it comes out with its next big "hardcore" title.

I didn't care who published this, I just wanted the game!!

I still think its a shame Nintendo didn't pick this up, and add the engine to official Wii Middleware. We could do with a few better looking games on Wii!!

I hope High Voltage try and flow their engine to other developers!!

Look, as I said above, sega's roots are in the coin arcade style gaming, making arcade boards, not the pc style gaming. The wii offers far better peripherals for those types of games. Sega needs to get off of the 360 and PS3 and spend more time with its roots.

Sonic and the Secret Rings for wii got good reviews, but sonic the hedgehog for PS3/360 and golden axe beast rider got terrible reviews. When will sega figure out that that Nintendo is its logical ally? Hopefully they are realizing. They have a bright future with Nintendo, and a poor future with Microsoft and Sony.

Sega is in fire. The wii has not only brought out of the best of Nintendo, but the best of Sega too.

Sonic and the Secret Rings
The Conduit
The House of the Dead : Overkill
Madworld
2 new sonic games that are supposed to be good

Granted the outings on the 360 and the PS3 are weak, but when it comes to the wii, Sega is now my favorite third party publisher. It really makes sense, because Nintendo and Sega both come from an older era and both have a lot in common with platforming, even though sega is more about speed and action, when nintendo is more about polish and creativity.

The wii really is making nintendo and sega do their best work.
