- Alexander Sliwinski: Oh, somewhere deep inside of these bones, an emptiness began to grow. There's something out there, far from my home, a longing that I've never known. But, in the meantime, I'll probably finish Dead Space.
- Christopher Grant After beating Dead Space (and then strategically dismembering its limbs) I had something of a personal crisis: what to play next! Sure, Penny Arcade Adventures Ep. 2 provided quite a compelling argument (loved the first one, bite-sized portions) and Fallout 3 is triggering gamer's Geiger counters, but I've settled on Fable 2, hoping to catch some of my friend's floating by in orb form. Before any of that, I've been tinkering with the New Xbox Experience which, I must say, is quite fetching.
- Griffin McElroy Having completed Fable 2 (can you "complete" something if it doesn't have an ending?), I've been playing Fallout 3 for the past two days. If you're curious about the game's potent addictive properties, I've already put about 15 hours into it. The bedsores are totally worth it.
- Kevin Kelly: Still trying to get to the Washington Monument in D.C. in Fallout 3. Also, I'll be playing the Mirror's Edge time trial over and over to hone my parkour skills. I'm at the point where I almost want to try it in real life. Almost.
- James Ransom-Wiley is celebrating!
- Jason Dobson is batman. We tried to tell him otherwise, and then he back-smacked each and every one of us.
- Justin McElroy: If I get free moments I believe I'll be trying to finish up Fable 2. But I'd like to encourage the rest of you to play my hit favorite game: "It's The Weekend So Maybe Go To A Halloween Party and Meet And Attractive Gal or Gaiden". [Ed. note: Don't listen to him, he doesn't play that game anymore.]
- Ludwig Kietzmann: Far Cry 2, Fable 2 and ... LittleBigPlanet! What a sad commentary on how swamped we are with games -- LBP is at the *end* of my list. Ugh.
- Randy Nelson: Still playing Fable 2 (expect that will be the case for quite some time, even though I've "finished" it) and making my way through Fallout 3. But in the spirit of the holiday, I think I'll delve a little further into Dead Space and break out some oldies but goodies: Capcom's Nightmare Before Christmas and both Maximo games. Heck, I might even face the frightful scanlines for one of my all-time faves, Ultimate Ghosts 'n Goblins.
- Ross Miller: I don't know where to begin. I've started games of Fable 2, Fallout 3 and Dead Space and need to commit to one to see through to the end. Penny Arcade Episode 2 is an eventual must. First on the list, however, will be all these fun demos I've let pass me by: EndWar, Mirror's Edge and Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts. Folks are visiting on Sunday, so a Rock Band 2 session is likely in store.

Happy Halloween everyone! We hope you've got some costume-wearing plans this weekend. Assuming there's gaming involved at all in the next 72 hours, we want to hear it -- but more importantly, we want to know what you're dressing up as!

In what way did Fable II not have an ending? I thought it was wonderfully unexpected, but it still ends your characters main goal while dropping a big enough hint to build up for a sequel - if you were too slow to work out what was going on before hand :)

I was cleaning out my basement and I found my Dreamcast that I had assumed was stolen by my cousin since 2004 (he wasn't lying when he said he knew nothing about it :P )
So, I'm gonna play the greatest game ever made of all time... guess what it is?

Hm, yes, good choice. But you really can't go wrong with the Dreamcast. Gawd, such an excellent system...

Sadly my 360 died so all I have left is LittleBigPlanet.
Worst part is that I downloaded Penny Arcade 2 and couldn't play it immediately because I had to take someones dog to the vet and I come back to find the one red light of death, which is actually worse then then the three red lights, the reason being the three lights are covered by warranty but the one light costed me a little bit over 100.
Chances are I won't have it back by the time Gears 2 comes out. ):

I played the Mirror's Edge demo - intriguing. I'm fairly sucked into Fallout 3 on PC though. It's the most gaming I've done on my PC in years and it is extremely addictive. Fable II is on my radar, but I have to pace myself - I honestly might not get to it until after the New Year (how sad) because of Left4Dead.

Why did every writer do a "Meet the team" except for Chris Grant.

Because:
a) He is the only one smart enough to know that telling people about yourself on the internet is a bad idea
b) He doesn't actually exist
c) He is playing a character (like Stephen Colbert) but is too lazy to write a backstory (unlike Stephen Colbert)
or
d) He hates us
My imaginary money is on c.

MoH H2 as usual. Maybe some Mega Man 9, Star Parodier, World of Goo or Secret of Mana.
And I heard this game got bad reviews, but I might try "Do your homework on the weekend for once." Though I may have to join the 11% of gamers with unopened games starting with that one.

36 hours in Fallout 3 so far and the game's still going strong. I feel like even though it doesn't have nearly as many places as Oblivion, the places that are here all serve a purpose whether it's holding something really nice or it's a quest area, etc. Just got Abe Lincoln's old rifle not too long ago from the Museum of History :D

I'm going to be playing a bitter call center rep all weekend. Let's just say it's quite easy to get into that character.
When my weekend arrives on Monday, I'll hopefully finish Secret of Mana.

Penny Arcade Episode 2 and Metroid Prime 3 most likely. I'm sure I'll play them all at some point, but I just don't have much of an interest in Fallout 3, Far Cry 2, Fable 2, or even Little Big Planet. Maybe I'm just a bad person, but come and get me when Mirror's Edge and Left 4 Dead come out.

Oh irony...I just happened to be watching Nightmare when I caught this post (probably gonna see it in 3D on Sunday)
I'm in desparate need of something new to play. Turned on Brawl for the first time in awhile this afternoon. I dressed as Snake so I needed some motivation.

i got dead space for the ps3 two days ago through an incredibly awkward criagslist's transaction. heading into a parking lot i apparently pulled up to the wrong red truck, approached it with cash in hand, counting it in front of him, and talked to the guy inside like we were business associates for 5 minutes before feeling a vibration in my pocket. looking at my cellphone i see the number of the soon to be seen mulleted character i am supposed to be meeting for the game. i tried to assure the original guy it wasn't for drugs or sexual favors and we kinda laughed it off and i finally walked across the huge parking lot to get my game... my 360 came back randomly in the mail that day as well. by random i mean it is surprising it was only out for 12 days (props to microsoft). besides all these ridiculous occurrences in my gaming life it's nice that over 2+ years of daily reading i find one blogger doing exactly the same as me. i'm with James Ransom-Wiley on this one. go bums! we finally did it.
